New mouse?

Anyone got some suggestions on a mouse? I'm currently using a g5, and wouldn't want to spend more than like $75 if possible.

Honestly if you claw, Razer mice are amazing. Palm I'd go with Logitech. Also depends if you have big hands, or small hands So these are things you should consider ^_^

So for your price range
Palm- Logitech G500/G9 & Razer Imperator
Claw- Razer Lachesis

Logitech G9x?
Some people say that the G5 was way beter, i dont know if its true becaus i never had the G5, but i like the G9x

flat finger grip, and small-medium hands. And i would really like one that has the side buttons like the G5.

Pretty much all gaming mice have side buttons. All mice have buttons on the side in general. You could probably pull it off with the Lachesis but your better bet would be Either the G500 (Basically the same as the G5 so if you like that thing then this is your mouse.) the G9x is basically the same but has more customization. Weights, grips etc. The Razer Imperator is like the in between

For flat grip, in this order. G9X, Imperator, G500. If you like to change it depending on what you do. Imperator G9X, G500

G9x is probably the best in my opinion other than the Razer Lachesis which I own. The 5000dpi on the G9x would be pretty useful on fast paced games like TF2 and Quake but when it comes to slow ones where you would snipe like in Battlefield 2 or Bad Company 2 you don't want a 5000dpi laser making you over track your every shot lol. Just look for a mouse that has on the fly sensitivity changing and that'll be useful if you do transitions like that every once in a while.

Discontinued model there bud. No longer made. Probably could find it on Amazon, ebay etc. Besides it's an optical, and would perform worse then his current G5.

Logitech G9X has on the fly, Logitech G500 also has on the fly, Razer Imperator has on the fly. When you buy a 5600/5700 DPI mouse you're not always buying it because it can move way fast. You may be buying it for precision. You can lower your in-game sensitivity and keep the mouse at the highest DPI. Believe it or not, it'll be more precise and accurate then if you lower your mouse DPI and adjust your in-game sensitivity.

I own BF2, BFBC2 and I've played with my Lachesis on max 4000 DPI, I don't over track because I've fine tuned the in-game sensitivity. It's also about mouse control.

Personal opinion. I wouldn't buy a mouse from a company that doesn't normally make mice. Not because it would be a bad mouse, it might be a really good mouse. But the support might not be up to par. It's like buying a car, people probably wouldn't buy a car from a new company, because they've been buying cars from a company that's been around the block and has a reputation for great customer service etc etc.

go for the kudos gaming mouse. its black, its good, addaptable weight, addapt ur dpi, make macro's for ur mouse and stuff. really good, not expensive, I have it, and i am glad i have it . costs around 50 ?

I don't believe you can purchase that in america actually. I can't find it on newegg, tigerdirect or amazon. All of the reviews on their website are from countries over there where you are Silly banana

Personally I am a big fan of my Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0. It's pretty price effective and is still pretty popular amongst gamers for it's age. The most recent version on store shelves is an updated version. Not sure of the stats on it as I lost the packaging but I have never had an issue with mine. The only way you'll truly know what you like is to actually feel it in your hand so you might try some of your local best buy stores and actually get a feel for the different mice out there.

I don't believe in the super high DPI computer mice. Nobody out there plays with that high of sensitivity settings anyways. I hardly think the Intellimouse would be a downgrade. It's hard to say which mouse is the best. That's why I say you have to go out and actually try them because everyone handles a mouse in their own way. Something might feel comfortable to one but not to another.

Cooler Master is a reputable brand, even when it comes it it's mouse. Eh, your loss. It's an awesome mouse.
