New laptop battery

I need to buy a new battery for my Dell Inspiron 6400. What should I be looking for and is there any specifics I need to pay attention too?

You should be paying attention to the model number and if that's correct brand for it. There's a few out there that look the same but in real life there different and it wont exactly fit your dell.
