I think thats the idea lol.

Or black and blue, or brown and yellow, but you would get to pick your colors.

And while the choice of shade would be yours I would not accept eight shades of blue and three shades of red.

I considered "like a newspaper" black and white and red all over, but that seemed too restrictive.

There is no good mechanism for doing them anonymously unless the sigs were pm'd to the coordinator rather than submitted to a thread.

Half the fun is in showing Edge Gamers what you can do, bragging rights and all.

In My Opinion.

It might be interesting to do an anonymous SOTW and have people guess who the artists were. Have a list of the contributors and a list of the sigs and let people guess who did what.

People do seem to be consistent in style.

What do you think?

I like the idea of having one of the weeks being anonymous but I do agree that it would be difficult and put alot of extra work. But maybe one week would be interesting.
Some of the theme suggests I like were 8bit Games(i.e. Atari, ColecoVision, NES, Commodore64, etc.), 20's themed and having them a bit more specific. The restrictive color theme would also be alot of fun I think. Gives you some structure but still allows for alot of creative freedom!
Perhaps each division of eGO has a contest to determine the best sig themed toward there specific game, and then put the winners against each other? I understand it may come down to which division has the most active members, thus resulting in a higher vote count. But is it really about winning? I more enjoy seeing what others have done and the creative outlet opportunity it provides!

Here are the vote threads for those that are interested: WoW, EVE, BC2, Finale.

The idea was to showcase our three newest divisions and encourage their members to create signatures.
In spite of Casino Cash prizes and one week of ad free browsing on edge gamers, threads posted in their division forums, and lot's of shoutbox spam the response was mediocre at best.

We got a few complaints from regular artists that did not want to make signatures for games that they did not play. I spent a few weeks getting other people to start my car in the morning and evening and taking random routes to and from work. My daughter did not understand why I insisted on her opening all of the mail and doing it at the mail box. Oh well she survived, sigh.

We will probably not showcase a specific game for quite a while. Artists who want to showcase there own game have plenty of opportunities within the themes that are provided. e.g. ever notice how a sniper scope view is circular?
