Its simply like Ventrilo, but use's voice placement. For example:

People that are CLOSE to you, sound like they normally would over any VOIP.
While those at distance, sound faint.

Also allows you to speak to other players who are NOT in your squad, which BF2 didn't.

RnL Has something like that, but never heard it called mumble

Th only thing with bf2 is if you already have an account you will have to make a new one to get your eGO name and you cant add spaces or certain symbols in the clan tags either.

Yes I do, have a look at this Mod, been addicted to it for almost a year now.
http://realitymod.com/ It includes both BF2 and ArmA2, but BF2: has much more support.

Think of it as a much more realistic mod than Insurgency, which the only way to win this game is by working as a team including:
Bullet drop
New kits
Insurgency gamemodes (Blufor team has to locate hidden caches etc)
Mumble support

That's what we're looking at right now, we're gauging our community and their server population (on project reality). The idea is in its infancy stages right now but it is being given serious thought.
