It doesn't feel like Christmas...

I'm in Texas City, Texas (google it..can't really go much further south of Houston).

I'm probably about 60 miles "more south" than you, but.. the big thing is I'm sitting right on the gulf itself, which is a huge weather modifier.

The north side of Houston gets regular freezes each year, as well as the occasional snow, where as I've seen entire winters here (where i live) were it never got below freezing.

I think it has frozen twice so far.

I think it comes with age. The more you grow, the more Christmas just seems like another holiday to you.

Not to sound like a emo rant, but I agree. It's probably because it's a family holiday, and my family is in ruins; not to mention it's the three year anniversary of my dad passing.

I love the holidays. /sarcasm

I'm 15 and this was the firs year that all the kids didn't believe is Santa. Opening the presents today wasn't even that exciting. I agree man, nothing feels like it used to. If I'm this young and life is this unexciting I can't imagine 30. :(

Sorry bro. No offense but hearing stuff like that makes me really think of what I have and what others don't. Hope it gets better.

Anyone else feel this way? Life is too monotonous. Feels like a Saturday in August. :feelsbadman:

I don't feel Christmasy at all.

I forgot Christmas was really about how cold, wet or snowy it is . :confused1: :chair:

For goodness sakes, cheer up man.If you celebrate , do so. Eat , drink and try to be Merry.

im almost 30 (in feb i turn 29) & what is the majority of my gifts? as being the typical parent, clothes. the only thing i really did ask for, i did get thankfully (which is really just another cheap version of my old watch). for my b-day, im takin myself b-day shopping for a REAL watch, not this walmart junk (thats exactly where i got my prev watch from). so ya, overall, gotta agree that christmas just isnt as fun as it use to be. but im glad that its all over w/ (shoppin & opening the presents-wise).

I don't really understand why Christmas lost its fun anyway, it was amazing previously and this year it just died D:
It's Christmas day, with 5 minutes of it left, and it doesn't feel one bit like it. Just another day on the calender, sadly.

To be completely frank, if you're not having a good time, you have no one to blame but yourself. Don't wait for something or someone else to come and entertain you; just relax and enjoy life for what it is. Also, nothing puts someone in the Christmas spirit like giving things to other people. It's pretty tough to be in a bad mood when you're making someone else's day.

I probably should have posted this sometime before 9:00 PM on Christmas, but the point still stands. As Red Green said, "Sit back, lower your standards, and enjoy!"

well my christmas was great. i enjoyed spending time with my family. and the christmas dinner is always a big plus
