Woooo just got these two babies and just installed them.

Will get pics up and post more about them soon. They are fairly small cards though i have to say, smaller than my 4850 or about the same length. The cooler is pretty massive though and is larger than my thermaltake DuOrb.

Update:
I seem to have reached a max stable overclock of 900mhz core and 2110mhz (1055 effective) memory. If i raise the voltage more using that bios edit, im sure i can go higher but this seems to be the limit for now.

I was thinking about this setup actually, seems pretty nice. Even just one would be an upgrade from my 4850 for now till I could afford to SLI, so I'm thinking about it.

Yea i picked them up for $300 both, they are in perfect condition and seem barely used. Came with originaly boxes, accessories, etc...

They go for like atleast $200 new each so i saved around $100+ and the dude gave me an SLI cable since i didn't get one with my mobo

You can probably pick them up for around the same price as mine if u find a good deal.

Im overclocking them right now. Seems to be running stable at 930mhz core with max volts and staying around 60's in furmark with 75% fan which isn't that loud.

Its really a nice pic and I want to add something that Their new GeForce GTX 460 is based on the all-new 40 nm GPU GF104 based on the Fermi architecture which introduced earlier this year. The GTX 460 is positioned at the bottom of the mid-range performance around the $ 200 price range. NVIDIA provides two versions of the GeForce GTX 460, one with 768 MB of GDDR5 memory and one with 1 GB.

Pics are up......max 100% stable seems to be 900mhz core and 2110mhz memory.

Within a few hrs of having them i already bricked the two cards trying to unlock the voltage :chair: mightve messed up because they were SLI but i luckily managed to reflash their stock bios by sticking my old 4850 in the PC and re-flashing each individually.

I will try again some other time to unlock the voltage cap so i can reach a higher core overclock. Im only hitting about 50-60C load on furmark which in all honesty isn't that good of a stability tester since i can pass furmark but when i try something like 3dmark11 i get artifacts etc....

I was looking at ppl that unlocked voltage cap and some of them are getting 990mhz or over 1000mhz

Nice. Now, update your sig. lol.
Use OCCT linpack for testing stability. Set the shader complexity up to max, and the res up to max as well.

okay.......lols anyways, well i bricked my card twice :P trying to unlock the voltage. I think its something up with my card being the MSI Cyclone, will need to read more about it, tired of bricking it then unbricking it especially since its SLI.

Ye, i will use OCCT now but my stable is 900 core and 2110 memory anyways. Want to go for more so thats y im desperately trying for the voltage cap unlock :) im so jealous of all the people that did it and are getting almost 1000mhz core or more than that. One dude on water got 1100mhz

What kind of PSU do you need for this? I don't know anything about SLI, plus I guess I'd be running at the factory speeds because I don't know a thing about overclocking  Not sure what PSU I have in this system, haven't looked in so long and this case has the PSU at the bottom, and I can't see the readings without taking it out which I cba doing atm.

You would need a 750w PSU i believe. I have a 1000w PSU lol

I think you can get off with a quality 650w PSU but i would go with 750w

Btw......I finally managed to unlock my Vcore cap. Now i can shoot it up all the way to 1.2v if i want but thats too much. Im probably going to go up to 1.12v or around that huzzzahhh for the internet and helping forums.

Overclocking away!!

That's a monster OC on the memory. What is the difference in performance with your OC vs stock?

For SLI, I'd recommend a quality 650W, but more ideally a 700-750W.

Nice. Let's see some benches!

Yup.......the memory OC is okay. Im seeing ppl with 2200mhz memory.

I think im going to back mine down so i can increase my core more then after the core see wat i can get on memory.

My goal is around 950mhz core lets see if these babies can do it.

Btw, OCCT seems to only stress 1GPU

:( i seem to have hit a wall. Anything past 900mhz i get artifacts no matter the voltage =/

I guess ill stick to 900 and 2110, its still faster than GTX 470's so im happy.

deal with it?

1029MHz on my 6870. suckas!

Nice cards, my friend just got one, the Cyclone cooler looks exactly like the stock one, but with a bigger fan.

You gotta do the homework first, man.
I get homework every day from my math class. D:
Speaking of which, I should probably play some Black Ops before I need to go to sleep. lol.

theyre not that bad. I can notice them a little over my case fans when i turn them fans up to 70%+ otherwise, theyre whisper quiet at auto.

haha yea, school first :P i play bad company 2 now cuz of the dx11 and vietnam is just fun

Not really. I actually miss it. Once you get out of school, and you're not doing anything for a while, you'll be surprised at how much you miss school.

You have posted at least three times complaining about College today...
