So, the 560s are out...

An overclocked 460 at my speeds is > or = to a 470. The 560 is a bit faster than a 470 but you can overclock more.

In all honesty, if you SLI the 460's theres not really anything you can't play especially overclocked. I can ran any game maxed right now pretty much except like metro and stuff.

If you have the cash tho, yea the 560's in SLI is an amazing option. Only competitor is the 6950 crossfire

Yep, I think I will be getting one 560 now, and then another one further on. I'm just wondering if 650W will suffice for 2 560's?

What do you use cuda for?

Only real thing it can be used for right now is folding.....

Well the big one right now is 3Ds Max Design, the Advantage Pack finally came out not too long ago and shifts rendering duties over to a CUDA enabled GPU. It was promised quite some time ago and it finally showed up making my life a little easier. It's expected that Revit and AutoCAD (the programs that I actually use the most and where my income really comes from) will soon be taking advantage of CUDA as well, that's the big rumor anyway. My partner and I actually have a dedicated rendering machine but occasionally I need to run renders at home, a single 30 second flyby render in Revit at a hardly decent quality will max out all threads on my 860 for a good 40+ hours.

I uploaded this this morning so you can see what I'm up against:

I rendered this at home six months ago maybe and it took 44 hours with Revit.

Also, it just dawned on me that I've been using Freemake for video conversions and that uses CUDA, although I'm a little disappointed in that since I'm not seeing a speed jump over Handbrake that is all CPU.

Those mirror things all over the walls are obnoxious. And the movement is laggy. Do not want.

The mirrors (chrome actually) serves an important purpose, the lag is due to the 300 frames per render limit in Revit, and I didn't do it for you so I care not about your level of want.

Revit is actually a pretty lousy product for rendering, but that's not what it's really meant for and sometimes it just so happens to be the best availible option.
