So tonight we saw a different type of realism run, with squads set-up and two new maps to test them on and overall I thought the night went well.
The Maps:
Both maps I felt were fine, if they weren't some what stacked for Axis or Allies but I mean, we played it on the fly, no real set-ups and no counter-setups, so who knows what would happen with a week advance or whatever. The second map, my only real main concern was I thought the light posts were way too bright and hindered my playing ability. Not to make excuses but I mean, I literally could not see anything, but I did not make it down far, and maybe it was because I was up high, otherwise good stuff.
The System:
I liked the idea with the leaders, and then having squadron leaders with their own squad. Nice twist, thought it went alright overall however I think if we're going to use the squad set-up, there shouldn't be in-game talking (before set-ups) because quite frankly, trying to listen to your leader talk on vent and show you set-ups/strats, while five people are talking in-game, makes it kind of difficult, no?
I am assuming this was a beta test? I do not know if it was run in the past or not, but for putting this on the fly (By that, I mean incorporating all these players off the bat, as I am sure you guys have been planning most of these details already.) I thought it went as best as possible.
