However, we're not afraid to protect DoD:S when someone thinks we're serious. Sumac was probably the best at this.

I remember once in TF2 someone said something about DoD:S, Sumac proceeded to kill them, Dominate them, make fun of them in admin chat, until they rage quitted. Greatest day of my life.

Yup. Agreed. Like I just said to Boe Jangles, if we really "hated" (or whatever you want to call it) them, then we wouldn't be so quickly welcoming to converts...or CSS people who attend our events...or who come into our servers. Plus, the most important thing to note is that...it's DoD:S Division--we give crap to our own people more than anybody. It's just how things are around here! But when push comes to shove, we stick together.

Oh, also...it seems that people are like, "Ugh...those DoD guys are at it AGAIN" about all sorts of things...but then those people who actual spend even a little time with us (See: Boe Jangles or the new converts) realize, "Oh, lol. These guys (and gals) aren't even bad. In fact, I kinda like it around here..."

OH...and Nillers...with this group, a response like this to a thread might look like, "OMG Miss Wrong, you're so wrong. Don't be dumb. In fact, it's best not to post your opinions anymore."...but it's not really that way.

It's more of, "I respect what you're saying, though I might disagree with some points, and I need to quickly get my 2 cents in before my fellow jerkwads make my point before I can."
 
Dont get me wrong, you guys are family, I seriously considered switching divisions, and may have if I didnt have my commitments here...
 
I disagree completely with this post (although i see your point and support the cause); however, I will not go easy on the CS:S kids. I'll handle my impressions and conduct with CS:S divisions members equally, until I have reason to dislike someone) I don't jump to a conclusion about a bad member (or warden in jail) just because of his voice, but instead of his actions...

For once I agree with YSD:) However, lets not generalize, there are some good CSS guys/kids and there are annoying ones who learned bad habits on non-eGO CSS servers.

"Those CS:S people" young or old can view this thread considering they are on the same forum and in the same clan. Keep the views positive, the negativity isn't needed (I understand the joking around but some comments have been striking people the wrong way).

If you can't support a division with your comments, keep them to yourself.

of.what am i supposed to do get a voice changer...happens on pub servers and some pubs tell me on ego servers to shut up.........i rly hate it
 
I think we all 'know' that tone of voice is not a true barometer of maturity. It is sometimes an easy target for some.

To dispel this myth, I propose we form a Barbershop Quartet to showcase the wonders of high harmony. It will be a big hit with the troops!

Maturity has precious little to do with how squeaky your voice is or how much grey you find in your hair. I'd rather play with a youngster who behaves well than a pumped up full of himself "man" any day of the week.

Don't let people define you by your age. Define yourself by your actions, and your restraint. It's often the things that you have sense enough not to say that tells the world of your character.

If anyone ever openly mocks you about your voice, come find me in vent and I'll give them a taste of my admin... we simply do not support discrimination against age in eGO.
 
First off, age is not an issue, it's the maturity and actions because of that maturity that count. If there is any discrimination of age, someone should be told about it. I agree with Stormy, jesting creates commaderie, and not hate or discontent. EdgeGamers is a mature community, which means that we can all act mature and accept one another.
