Spiral Knights is a new F2P MMO from SEGA and Three Rings. It's a very nice top-down, cartoony, action MMO that reminds me of the old Zelda games, and I've never played a Zelda game.

It's got gamepad support that works great and if you want to add me my in-game name is : Knir

i think i'll test this out - i love games that have this type of look

probably - but im REALLY liking it right now. i just like the graphics, the dungeon style, and the crafting. i also really like how you're able to shield/dodge all attacks so its pretty skill based (vindictus comes to mind too) instead of just mashing skill 1-9 until all things on your screen are dead blah blah

whoever plays this should add me, Junkx cause i made an ego guild kinda

Looks good! I just signed up. I'll whip out my xbox360 controller and give it a try!

My character's name is Chapped, make sure to add me!

i can also craft some good gear - so get in touch with me. unfortuneately im unable to do it all for free now since its getting high up in *s it gets a little expensive, but a good 3* sword i can craft for bout 15k crowns...so save your cash and let me know!!

keep in mind you have 100 mist energy for free and it regens at a rate of 1 energy per 15 minutes. with that you can make some crowns (in game currency) and with those, in the middle of haven, you can buy crowns. last i checked it was pretty expensive of something like 3100 crowns for 100 energy, but with that you can make a lot of money...something like 8k crowns, so its always worth it.
just a little tip

ok so heres what i can do - i can make everybody 2* gear (what i have anyway) for most likely 4k crowns, and 3* gear (upgraded 2 star stuff) for 8-10k depending on its rare item thing...that is about the price it cost to craft it, so you'll basically be paying for what it takes to make it rather than A, buying the recipes/mats and making it yourself, and B, paying anybody else a bunch extra to craft it for ya.
just contact me in game and i'll tell ya what i can make

edit: even cheaper if you can give me some/all the mats required to make the stuff.

JunK is the ultimate is niceness. He's made me some good stuff that has saved my butt lots o times, lol.

hey sissy! ya right now i can make you the gear i wear, the armor and helm...its called the wolver/dusker coat/cap and it adds bonus damage to swords. thats why im wearing it because i want to use swords =D

Have to say I'm addicted.

Thanks junk for the help getting started.

i know right!!! im really addicted as well. i freakin love this game. i realize it was just, and literally JUST released too. 4/4/11 it opened too, so im hoping they come out with some awesome updates, more tiers and such.
i just did my first jelly king run today too and it was awesome. super fun stuff

I had seen this about 4/4 but i stayed away b/c I read energy was what cost real money and it was critical to keep playing. Couldn't resist when I saw some people getting into it / would have some forum regulars to play with. I thought the game was going to pigeon hole you into playing a little or paying $. Glad I was wrong. for every 60 energy I spend I make enough crowns to buy 100 more energy (This is in Tier 1 mind you) off money drops alone.

Edit: disregard this.

i'll keep an eye out for those recipes - im glad we're getting a little community in this game on our own. its super addicting and really fun. i can't say enough just how much i love the concept, graphics, gamestyle/play of this game.
i can't wait for updates, seriously, and yes...spending real money on this game will certainly cut down on time it takes to advance, but you can easily do everything without spending a dime. and you can still get everything anybody else can, i really like that aspect.

once you get to tier2 you start to see some great materials that sell for good money, and really the first 4 floors (up until the clockworks shop) are the low end levels, the ones after that are tougher but have much more money/heat and better drops. so where as farming for recipes (entering a party then leaving after checking the shop) is good in a way, you're missing out on the best stuff you can get.

ALSO i found out you can invite others to a lower tier than they can go themselves...so even if you guys only have 1* gear i CAN invite you to tier2...but it would be reaally tough haha

That sounds really tough. Like when you helped me and Metho get through those floors after the terminal that we had never been on. That was TOUGH.
