One-Stop Everything You Need To Know About BF3 (and eGO's plan) -Continuously Updated

You're the bomb, Slaz.

Also, might need a new graphics card for BF3 - the more I watch the more I'm thinking "There's no way I'm gonna be able to last in that heat."

If you can run BC2 well, you should be fine or BF3. So need... probably not, want, haha sure.

I've always planned to get BF3, but never really saw a lot of gameplay except like 1 or 2 in E3. Now, after going through all these videos, it's jaw-dropping, and very stunning. Not sure if I should get it for my PS3 or PC.

1) I believe you can only play 64 player on PC, that's why I wanted to get it. If I do decide to get it for my PC, I can play with friends in eGO and have a lot more fun. The downside is I have to get a new graphics card and it will cost about 150$+60$ (The game) and that's 210 right there.

2) If I get it for my PS3, I can't play 64 player, play w/ eGO clanmates, or have as much fun as I do w/ PC. But in the end, I would save 150$ and for sure, my PS3 would run it.

DARN! Hard decision.

Thanks for the one stop shop, saves alot of time looking in different places for the info.

Since we are all pretty much going to be playing BF3 on PC, please add commo rose as a feature of BF3 for PC.

It was confirmed recently. Proof is in the link below:

Commo-rose is in the PC version of BF3 (nothing on console for that yet).

For those who don't know what commo rose is, it's a very effective way of communicating with your team (similar to L4D's radial menu).

Whenever you request a team action such as a medic or ammo, everyone on your team is notified of your need for whatever team action you require.

Here is an example of commo-rose in action on BF2142:

It is so much better than the communication system in BC2 because you could only request help from one teammate at a time.

A video below demonstrated by my friend how useless it is in a situation where he asks a medic for a medkit:

I played the Alpha of BF3 and all I can say is that the game holds up to all the hype. It truly is an amazing game!

Awesome post Slaz =). Thanks for compiling it all together!

Things I'm not sure I'll like:
UAV being soldier equipment (I like BC2's UAV idea better, as more of a vehicle)

Vehicles with regen health...lolwut?

The plethora of different gun sights

They make it hard to choose what other games to get...Forza 4 comes out the 11th, then Batman: Arkham City the 18th and BF3 the 25th! why must the next few months be so costly...

Do you guys think that a ATI 5870, i7 920 and 6gb ram is good enough for this game ? Please advise

The graphics will be dumbed down for consoles too since it will be a DX10/DX11 game for PC.
