From Dust

I've played it on the 360 and it was pretty cool I guess, but I pre-ordered it on steam a while back, but haven't got to play it since it was released. (Today I believe is when it came out?)

I'm enjoying it very much. The controls feel very good using a combination of WASD + mouse make for a very responsive experience.

The cameras are rarely perfect in any game, so I wasn't surprised that From Dust was no exception. Either way, the cameras generally work well.

The weather and the physics of nature simply astound me. The game is simply stunning imo and I don't regret pre-ordering it one bit.

This and Bastion were easy purchases to make.

sweet game, good for a change outside FPSs

I love god games. <3 Black and white 2

Heard the PC version sucks, invasive DRM, locked to 30 fps, no AA, bad controls etc.

I've been seeing the same reports and honestly I'm either not bothered by some of the issues and others I've found to just be not true.

The DRM is true. It's lame. You have to been looged into Ubisoft's Uplay, but I already went through this w/ AC2, so UPlay just auto runs for me.

30 fps for From Dust is absolutely fine. Would higher FPS be welcome? Sure would. But for the pacing of this game, it doesn't require it.

No AA makes me sad, but the game is still beautiful imo.

The controls part is the biggest issue for me. Not because the controls are bad, but because everyone is complaining that they are.

I've had zero problems with control response. WASD + mouse = a very precise range of movements and is very easy and comfortable to use. Only explanation I can come up with is most are trying to use the mouse alone and that is straight fail.

The game is fine. The port is fine. The DRM sucks. The framerate is manageable. Lack of AA is regrettable. Controls are Fine.

i have found that the controls are not fine at all, the clicking is not responsive, and i have to actually move my mouse for me to move, or use wsad but that is really useless in these games. this game defiantly needs work, not crashing though which is good.
you can get by these flaws and get used to them, which you shouldn't have to, the game is quite fun. i would recommend it

I fail to see how wasd is useless in this game at all. Combining the mouse clicks w/ wasd allowed me very responsive and precise movements and actions.

I've had no issues with anything you've mentioned thus far. The only issue I've come across so far is that the camera isn't perfect; but that's expected.

I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree though.

My only regret for getting a refund for this game is the loss of my Genuine Mask of the Shaman in TF2.

RIP Tribal Demoman :(
