Best part of the video was the dog tag scene. Well I also liked the Mortar scene reminds me of BF:Vietnam.

This is part 3 of a first look, albeit in very low quality, at the Battlefield 3 single player for XBOX 360, which might we add, isn't even out yet.

"this is all from the latest dev build of the 360 version" ALSO NOTE "this was recorded off of a test kit. the program used to record isn't all about quality, only showing bugs to the developers to get the point across. the videos are 1:1 off the recorder"

Updated: This is NOT BETA footage, sorry for the confusion folks, this is new single player footage from the latest dev build of the 360 version.

wow just wow

Looks pretty sweet. Although, I am not 100% I really like mainstream-BF going into a cinematic-style singleplayer.

It was fine with the BC's because, well, it's Bad Company =), but when I first started playing Battlefield 1942, all I ever played was instant action, and when I got BF2, I played the online Co-op by myself (via local connection, which was basically instant action with up to 48-ish bots on 16 player maps). I didn't even get into BF multiplayer until about 2009 when I started playing with a friend on a 24/7 BF2 Warlord server.

Am I the only one that misses Instant Action? To me, it's what gave Battlefield its singleplayer replayability, as well as its more unique and impersonal identity.

Edit: Not really related, but this thread reached exactly 3000 views =)

Jez, how big are the maps gonna be? But I'll be honest. As much fun as one may have flying a plane, if the objective is still to capture flags on the ground, the planes shouldn't matter that much. A lot like the choppers now. They're a hassle and annoying, but you can manage with them around.

Nice! Thanks for posting =D. Although, I wonder what the difference will be between conquest and conquest 64 (other than one obviously supporting 64 players)

Will it just be the BC2 style conquest of 32 players and on smaller versions of the 64 player maps?

And 9 maps seems a like a decent number. Especially with the extra 4 from Back to Karkand.
Also nice to know that BtK will be just a month after release =)

Did you ever play BF2 online? Cause whenever I did, the planes were very effective. Sure, the point is to take flags, but infantry have to take them, and when they're getting bombed/gunned down, they can't take them.
They're more of a support vehicle. They aren't necessary for victory, but they definately help =)

No, only 1942 years ago, and BC.

get BF2. It is proabably around $5 and is well worth it. Easily my favorite shooter by far.

I'm sure it's a load of fun... however when would I have time to play that between BC and BF3 (which I'm leaning to getting more and more (and sooner) due to all the posts about it with previews, etc).

Aww man, you missed out. I didn't play multiplayer much until 2009, but when I did, I loved it. It was a bit too slow, whereas BC2 is a bit too fast, so I think BF3 will be a perfect combo.

But yeah, the jets were very effective. In the rights hands, even overpowered lol.
