I plan on playing a class that is not connected to the force at first. All the 12 year olds who know nothing about the true star wars lore will be playing sith warriors and jedi knights
A good chunk of true star wars lore occurrs after the setting of this game so not knowing the lore might not cost that much. I don't think darth bane will be around for some several thousand or so years. Pretty much all we've got to go off of is the old comics about korriban and those kids from Teta, at least that I'm aware of.
Also how are there so many guilds recruiting for swtor before the game is out? Is it just a pact to all join up on the same server once it does come out so you have a party right at the start?
Empire btw, marauder or juggernaut, can't decide.
That's 'Consular', Mr. Connery. Are you planning on giving Sith grief counseling? :chair:
Wife and I will be playing Consular, I of course the dastardly Shadow, and my wife the charming Sage.

BioWare has already set up a section on the official site to create and build up your Guilds here: http://www.swtor.com/guilds
Assuming you've already signed up for an EA/BioWare account, you can join either the eGO Republic or eGO Empire guilds, which also allows players to choose what class you plan to play, helping leaders understand what to plan for.
Currently the Guilds section is in Phase 1, namely the creating and assembling of Guilds. Once Phase 2 starts "...guild leaders will have the opportunity to select other guilds that they expect to play with--these are either allied guilds from the same faction, or adversarial guilds from the opposite faction."
And then Phase 3 -- "During the final phase, all guilds that meet certain criteria will be assigned to specific servers in the game and guild rosters will be prepared so that players can join when they log in."
I think it's an awesome idea personally, can't wait to see how it will all shake out when it launches!

Applied at the site, dunno exactly what name it'd apply me under though or if it'd just use my email address so if you get a random sounding name on the applications it might just be me. Though all this ahead-of-time guild stuff just makes me more hyped up after already waiting for a year on them (accursed delays). Watch, with my luck soon as it really does come out I'll have a lot of work dropped on me or something.
