Tanks are fun...

In BF2 I used to LOVE sneaking up on tanks with C4 and hearing that boom as I ran away.

For some reason I've had a harder time doing that in BF3.

Dropping a mine by a tank and shooting it with a pistol in BC2 was also fun so I looked like I took out a tank with a mere pistol but shooting mines in BF3 doesn't seem to have any effect. I don't know if that's more realistic or not. I do kinda wish the mines didn't stand out quite so much though, makes them rather ineffective imho.

depends on the map for me with a tank, but with the softlams and javs im finding I personaly have to use a tank at a far more stand off range then up in the face. Though I suppose the tanks should be baby sat a little by infantry to keep the pesky flys away.

I don't think DICE ever anticipated the major Javelin spam. For the first few months, it was essentially useless, but now I can hardly use a tank, chopper, or jet without getting insta-locked. =/

Almost every good BF3 player who uses a tank....uses proximity sensors :P

BTW if you guys do not already know this..... PERKS can be stacked in tanks... if i'm the driver and i'm using beltspeed for faster reload and a random teammate jumps in the tank when his tank perk is set to proximity sensors..... you get both. >:D

I dont, never needed it, my eyes are good enough lol Most of the pro teams do not use proximity sensors also.

yup, you dont need a prox sensor if u have a good pair of eyes, ask the people who go up against my tank :P

So you assume that, with a good pair of eyes, you'll know that there is someone behind your tank cannon right?

Also if you assume that. Then you clearly do not know what proximity sensors are meant for.

You're talking to someone who has 100 hours more played than you have...with a higher k/d ratio. I have also been on heavy metal ever since i joined eGO back in 03-27-2011 and i have not seen you anywhere. Also last time i checked....Heavy Metal has got absolutely nothing to do with BF3 whatsoever.

And thanks for ruining a potentially good topic and dodging the proximity sensor assumption.

P.S. Sorry i used the USAS12 against you in the eggtastic tourney. Yes i heard you on vent.

haha? really?

lol someone's getting a bit senti here. So higher K/D ratio and more hours constitutes that your a better player ? how does that logic work ? from what I can see playing 24/7 metro and spamming usas with frags rounds and grenades from the back stairs shouldnt even count in the first place, so lets not talk about stats :)

Anyways, i said that the proximity sensor is not required, dont know why u have to get all senti about that. If you havent seen me on heavy metal its not my fault.

anyways, you have your point and I have mine, lets not waste each others time.

This topic is going no where either stop trying to one up each other or I'll lock the thread. I shouldn't even have to ask this.

Also nice job Cookiiiiiie. I'm sure many a hacks were called that round.
