I know that situations can get very tense when talking about what server we like, or what map we like. The last thing I want is for you all to be afraid to use the dropbox or to talk to one of us.

As you can see with the Dust/Alcatraz situation, we are very open to calm and constructive discussion. If you want something changed, you should feel confident that we are going to hear you out.

These threads can get out of control quickly and I want to let everyone know that we appreciate the good discussion we have had the past few days. One thing I would love to see stop however are the one liner posts that say "Let's get rid of this or let's all dropbox it to get it changed." It doesn't really help. If you want something changed you need to provide reasons for the change.

Arguing and insulting each other is going to get us nowhere. It goes both ways. We are guilty of it too. That being said, if you have a problem with anything either use the dropbox and give us some feedback or come talk to one of us directly. The one thing you should never do is approach the exact person you have a problem with. Sometimes we can act as a middle man and help resolve these issues. If you have a problem with an eG/eGO come talk to an Advisor. If you have a problem with an Advisor, talk to a DL and so on.

We have to use these communication lines or we will never move forward. Overall I think the majority of you guys get this already, which is why this division is so much fun to be a part of.

I agree completely bear, I like having the discussions in place, letting people voice out their thoughts/concerns/etc on these threads is a great way to see how the server/map/subject is doing in terms of popularity and how people like/dislike whatever the subject may be about. I may not be that good at CS:S but I have my own favorite bits on our servers and maps and the whole eGO atmosphere that keeps me interested in continuing to play on our servers.

Yeah... it can really get out of hand. I like being able to talk about it openly, but there is always someone that just has to call someone out and get into an argument.

It does get out of hand, when you get one person saying they liking the server and then another person attacking them for what they like.

But anyway good post bear

Good post. It's important to remember that cs:s is just a game and there is no need to loose your cool over anything related to it. Everyone is here to relax and have fun so please don't bicker and offend other people.

To add to that, the one liner responses are just lazy and unconstructed. And it really takes away from a discussion. And of course, if the person who is one-lining is on your side of the argument, it makes your whole argument invalid to and extent.

{*le me making a long post about a server issue, providing valid reasoning, adding to the discussion, and trying to disprove others reasons with your reasoning }

{zomg we needs moar zombies servers!!!!!}

You can see how it gets annoying.

I have a problem with Bear not being evil enough. You sir, need to represent what you stand for. Away with all these un-evil kitten pictures, such cute niceties are not for one with your stature.
