Server Changes

Hey Guys

We are making the following changes to our severs –

1) We are dropping HC Conquest 64 slot.
2) We are replacing Normal Close Quarters Domination with the following –
a. Normal 1000 Ticket Metro/Bazaar/Seine/Demavand Fast vehicle / Infantry respawn. This server is temporarily 32 person but will be changed to a 64 person server shortly.



These changes have been made due to a error which caused our HC Conquest 64 to be closed instead of the scheduled close of the normal CQ Server. We saw this as an opportunity to further fine tune our servers to reflect what is popular with pubers out there.


Currently our servers for BF3 are –
1) B2K Normal Conquest, votemap. 6 4 slot.
2) HC Rush, votemap, 32 slot
3) HC CQ Conquest Domination, 32 slot.
4) Normal 1000 Ticket Metro/Bazaar/Seine/Demavand Fast vehicle / Infantry respawn. (To be changed to 64)


We need to focus on keeping these servers full at all times, even with the bumper month of recruiting we had our servers are not reflecting any change in rank. We need to understand that if our servers continue to drop we will end up losing them and eventually everything else as well.

If we can maintain strong server numbers for 1 week on all our servers, we will gain a dedicated puber base that will come back to them more often.
I know these changes might not reflect what everyone here wants but we are trying to find the sweet spot where we can merge server filling with having fun as well. We are in discussion to prep for the upcoming DLC releases and other potential server changes as well.

So as a request from all of leadership, please help fill our severs whenever you can, as members of eGO that is the biggest contribution you can give to us.

Yes and Yes now let us notice the top 100 leaderboards for tankers hmmmm they all play 24/7 damavand hmmmmmmmmmm and how many damavand servers are out there in the USA 0 they are all German servers and there are americans on the top 100 so let us feed to them

No it wont and we need balance here killer like we cant have Grand Bazaar lav domination you and nothing else we need lav domination then Tank domination from me on Damavand

Randy the new server is like HC conquest just certain maps that are the most popular and ones that people like to play would it be better if this server wasnt HC yea that would be epic and I would LIVE on this server like screw my SPM and all my stats idc this server seems epic but if it was to become normal in the future then I would LOVE THIS SERVER TO DEATH.

Guys, when you're starting servers, try getting on vent. Not only that it's a good habit to get into if you're an admin, but it'll help with coordination when you jump from server to server. Another thing, if you guys haven't noticed, we jump from server to server in order of the one that'll most likely stay full. The order is B2K --> Rush --> CQ Domination or HC 1000 Ticket. Although it's hard to believe, this strategy does work.

I know its like HC conquest, but I like the full map rotation. I am one of those that believes the designer of Metro should be fired for putting something of its sort in a Battlefield game. The only reason I slightly enjoy it now is because I troll with the EOD while filling, but when its full, it is flat out horrible. Seine gets out of control quickly with a lot of people, and Bazaar is the best of the three. Seine and Metro are bareable in the full rotation, but to be limited to those three just sucks. Also, I know there are a lot of 1000 ticket servers, but 1000 is waaay too much IMO. The tickets on B2K are just right. Long battles, but not 30-45 minute battles.

I LOVE Long battles cause I will do 1 round then leave and doing 1 round of a 300 ticket server is too short for me

B2K's are around 500...which usually equals a 15-25 min battle, depending on the teams

i agree 100%, but itll probably be until armored kill when i play again since dawnguard finally was released on PC so my vote shouldnt matter yet :wink:, but one thing about the most dedicated people preferring HC, dunno bout that but when i did a poll on preference a while back it was split down the middle

I've PLAYED much more normal, and I'll generally continue this trend. However, I'm ever-so-slightly acclimated to hardcore now, and have come to enjoy it on Close Quarters. Metro hardcore was bad, too many explosives resulted in too much, all-too-frequent teamkilling, whereas in Close Quarters, while I may not excel, I perform decently and have a good time playing with the clan. All things considered, playing with clanmates is still the most fun, but for stat grinding a couple rounds of normal TDM is not only rewarding but still quite enjoyable.

hmm metro hc is kind of interesting but only without the usual "rageweapons" cause rounds tend to end up in a big boomfest.
besides that the changes are ok i guess. the problem i see (at least around my euro times) is that we have trouble keeping servers full.
i think a problem may be that we have quite alot of eGO members on a single server when we start it and once its full numbers drop cause some/alot of us eGO members move on to a different server. and if a team got owned pretty hard that round the amount of ppl leaving is bigger and as you know more and more ppl tend to leave.

as a sideeffect of all that filling effort we have to put in the servers all the time i think we are a bit demotivated, at least i personally am. when i get home from work or friends and just wanna play a good round or two of bf3 i dont feel like spending 30-60 minutes trying to fill a server before i can actually play.
