No Minimap in HC?!?!?!

Go to like 7:40 seconds in and he starts talking about HC servers being able to remove the minimap WITHOUT making it custom or HC is just no minimap i am not sure but you get the point.

If this is true then I probs wont play HC again cause it removes my ability to be more observant then someone by me watching my minimap while they dont and i dont love HC but i play it to trol people by using snipers and slugs and m320s because imo it rewards people with less skill because if i come around a corner and in normal and a guy is on the floor 1 shot from him and i am shooting back at his head and i might take 1 or 2 more bullets but i can kill him. In HC 1 or 2 bullets from a camper and i die.

If you go to the "Patch notes" site, and scroll to the bottom, there's an update by the OP that says they're fake, originating from around July 25th.

There's also a twitter response from Zh1nto, saying that they are old, and have been greatly changed since originally posted.

But good find nonetheless =). Definately some interesting things that I bet will make it into the real patch.

Oh, like the real world, where you have to use teamwork and communicate to keep from getting killed, as opposed to running down the middle of the battle jumping up and down shooting people hoping that you can reload and light up another clip in them before they can you for a kill. Yeah, why would anyone play hardcore, golly it's like making it real or something.

I'm just gonna sneak in and say maybe you should have some more skill at killing someone when you come around a corner without taking any hits. Just saying

This is a game designed to have AUTHENTIC vehicles and weapons not to simulate realism people didnt go out and buy battlefield 3 to play something realistic so HC is not meant to be realistic it is meant to give players an alternative to normal mode however one would assume that it would keep the main gameplay mechanics that make it a game that is not trying to be realistic.

I actually miss HC without minimap, I was surprised BF3 had a minimap in HC. I was actually kind of excited for a minute there.

I can see your point, who would want realism when they can have authentic.

authentic: a : worthy of acceptance or belief as conforming to or based on fact <paints an authentic picture of our society>
b : conforming to an original so as to reproduce essential features <an authentic reproduction of a colonial farmhouse>
c : made or done the same way as an original <authentic Mexican fare>

Being authentic would rule out realism in any way shape or form in games. I snuck around a lot of corners without a mini map, sometimes there is a nasty surprise waiting.
