Who thinks the next cod Black ops to be a Make or Break?

Honestly the next cod I think will be a little bit different than most other cod games the 4 team squad gameplay, new weapons, etc.(i know im gonna be wrong on this and that's ok)

what do you guys think?

-Mostly excited for zombies since im a zombie fan but I might wait for reviews and gameplay footage.

oh another cod is coming out? i lost interest in them after the game play always felt the same over and over again. Even the zombies are getting beat into the ground :/
 
I stopped playing when they started to take the old games and just re-skinning them.
 
I quit at World at War. It was fun up until then. CoD 2 will always hold a place in my heart.

Need to redefine your question: Is it a make or break game for PC Gamers or Console Gamers? Break for PC, make millions from console gamers. Because they're easy to milk for money. PC Gamers are more picky when it comes to customization, downloads, free content, etc. Console gamers are pretty used to being nickel and dimed to death, paying for extra content and such.
 
Come on Snipe, that seems really unfair. To pretend PC gamers aren't nickel and dimed like console gamers is just silly. There is more variety available, yes, but that's an entirely different discussion! :P

So back on topic. There's no denying the success of COD, whether you like it or not. To me it is reminiscent of the "Madden Craze" I saw while I was in college, where everyone went scrambling to grab the newest Madden football game as soon as it was available, even if it barely changed from year to year.

COD is in the same boat. Like it or not, it's going to sell. The question is, how much? This itineration won't break it by any means. I'm pretty sure they will make a profit for at least a few years. The question is, how much will that profit drop before they decide they're done?

I don't play it myself, but honestly I think it will do fine this year. In about a month or three we'll know if it outsold the previous games or not. Between you and me (you being whoever reads this), I would say it's a safe bet they are already working on next year's COD game.

Well ya i think infinity ward and which ever one makes black ops trade off each year, but i can say they probably started on a black ops 3 by now if they will even call it that.

Inifinity Ward and Treyarch are the two studios that trade off. To Treyarch's credit, they're turning out solid games, though repetitive. Not bad for a group that originally made CoD games for the console.

well imo everything past 4 was teribad and a rip off so meh, this one looks even more gimmicky, my hopes for pc since seems like every year they screw pc gamers a diffrent more dasterly way, mine as well not even make a pc version
 
I love when Treyarch makes Call of Duty games. To me it's better then what the new guys at infinity ward cook up. I think Black Ops 2 will be a success. I'm not sure if it will be the best CoD game they ever made, but I think it might make Call of Duty stronger in some way.

Considering the only good games they've made were Black Ops and World at War for the PC, that's not really saying much. Sorry to disappoint, but I doubt this will make the CoD series stronger in any way. It's more likely to be a repeat of the same old formula they've been using since CoD4, which is honestly getting old. There's a reason why PC gamers stick with CoD4; it's still one of, if not THE, best multiplayer experience for the series.

I wish I could do that.. After playing the new Call of Duty for about 3 months straight, I tell myself "NO! NO MORE CALL OF DUTY!" but then.. weeks before the release of the upcoming Call of Duty I think back to all the fun I had, and I can't resist not getting the new Call of Duty. Eventually I get them all, no matter how much I hated the game, swore at it, raged at it, and the list goes on and on. It's too much fun with friends, leveling, etc.
It has something special, no matter how bad the game is. I will always make fun of Call of Duty, how bad it is and the kind of players that play it. It still is, whether you like it or not, one of the best selling shooters out there.

I'm getting it, and I'll tell you how it was
