In the words of the immortal sniper (GamingRobot32) - Be polite, be efficient, have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
This is a central idea, and is extremely applicable to my fellow e's.
Be Polite - When pubs come into the server, they are usually grateful to see that we have clean and friendly servers. That is one of eGO's many goals - to keep the servers as friendly as possible. In that line of thinking, we, as e's, have a duty and obligation to do our small part in keeping the servers as clean as possible. That means following the rules, watching our own language, and perhaps lending a greeting to the regulars or perhaps recruiting those that may seem interested in eGO and are polite pubs themselves.
Be Efficient - When trouble arises and there is noone to help you out - it is your job as an e to have a few g's and o's on your friends list, mainly people that you can call into the server if trouble arises. The most common thing I encounter is language, and I am lucky enough to have such wonderful fellow higher-ups that they are willing to come in the server. With regards to efficiency, do this in a manner as quick and discrete as humanly possible.
Have a Plan - Have a plan as an e. Whether it's dealing with the troublemakers, or recruiting potential members - have a plan. Know the rules of eGO inside and out, be able to recite them in the mirror every morning. (Ok, maybe not THAT obsessed, but you get the picture.) If you come across as ill-informed, that does not reflect well. Worst case scenario - ASK others! (also have a plan to kill people, cause its tf2 and you are incapable of playing the game then thats also not good)
Overall, this is just a brief set of tips for my fellow e's and some friendly advice as we move forward as dabes division in eGO!
