It's a good idea, it just seems like it needs a few tweaks before it would be able to happen. Not sure what those tweaks are, but it seems like it needs some changes first.

Like? Can you give me your solution to my good yet flawed plan? Because all I'm going to do is save up metal and do it myself if none of you are going to help me. Would rather give a F2P that upgrade then save up for a strange festive medi-gun I was saving up for.

Though that's a lot of F2Ps to premium on that amount XD

I don't know how feasible this would be, but we could announce an event for free to play members, with the announcement that the players with the most points would get an upgrade to premium gift.

Another idea that would be kind of fun, would be to have something like a dog tag scrim, but instead of es and Gs vs Os, it would be something like free to play vs premium players. Each premium player would acquire for themselves, whether through metal or money, a upgrade to premium gift, and when they get dominated, they give the gift to the person that dominated them. Once they get/give the gift, they would leave the server and let someone else join until either we run out of gifts or we run out of free to players.

As for who to give items to, just talk to Cael or Wilson, and ask one of them to introduce you to Backpack

Anyway, I just finished reading this whole thread. Sorry for skipping over it before. I was afraid of the Fullmetals.

The original idea, buying premium upgrades with metal and gifting them to F2P players on the servers, is great and very charitable, but I wouldn't support it. Only cause I am more focused on the eGO community.

Now, if we change this idea to gifting these to the F2P players of our community (which seems to be the direction this is going towards), I would support this. If the premium upgrades are donated as prizes for future events, that'd be great. If we want to come up with a new tournament or big event for this, that'll take time, but it's possible.

Remember, submit your ideas and suggestions to me via PM or through Dropbox. I may miss your awesome ideas by not reading every thread out here. >_<

How about a monthly kind of competition where the F2Pers can compete. Say to gain entry they have to dominate 1 EGO or 2 EG or 4 E and provide at least picture proof of the domination if not video. Then those who pass the entry requirement have to submit a video of them being credit to their team somehow either supporting a big push, saving a medic from a spy or extinguishing burning teammates. The videos are posted, voted on and the winner gets the prize.

I think that's pretty key, though I have nothing per se against helping out a random F2Per that's interested. I'd love to see this find some way to reward those who serve eGO in general. And although I have no money to offer, I've got a bunch of dupes I'm willing to burn for this.

Haha, I had visions of Mortal Kombat, where F2Pers would have to prove themselves to gain entry into the tournament, and then duel each other to the death for the prize!
