I dont hate development companies for making cookie cutter games that people pay money for (I loved all 3 Modern Warfare games, and I played both Black Ops.)
I hate people who cant go from Call of Duty to RO2 or ArmA and get it through their heads that they shouldnt be expecting the same thing, and then the community dies after I put all of my heart into the Beta with DJYetiStorm and when the final version comes out no one is there to support it.
Its like watching Alien and Aliens, yeah they both have Xenomorphs in them, but they're different movies that are both great in their own ways. Or when someone watches a movie like the new "Red Dawn" and say, "Well that movie was nothing but shooting, it wasnt very good." No, it was fantastic because all I wanted to see when I paid money to watch that movie a giant screen was to watch Communists get blown up. Thats it.
I, for one, will be looking forward to he next Call of Duty that comes out in November. Am I expecting a well thought out story line with multiple endings? No. Im expecting to aim in the general direction of some bad guys who are probably European and having a bunch of random stuff explode.
When I want a story line I'll play Mass Effect, or Bioshock. When I want to be tactical I'll come find Reaper Company in Takistan so I can be a Medic or a Machine Gunner and run behind Yeti so I can stare at that perfect buttocks of his.
