Yeah......I partially grew up in Cali, and i don't remember anything of the sort.
Police are allowed to break some law.

Actually, it's true. Motorcyclists are allowed to go in between the lanes in Cali.
However, it's stupid and really dangerous. I absolutely hate it when they do that.

Well in general, when you are going faster than that, and I suppose in your case there, the cop didn't bother going through the effort of catching you. So if you ever do have the extreme desire to go fast, make sure it is so fast the cops don't even bother going after you. It has worked for me pretty well in the past, clocking like 140-180.
So they don't think of calling ahead and roadblocking, right?

No, there was construction ahead. The cop car behind me and I needed to get in but we didn't feel like stopping and letting about a mile long of cars get past us, so we go from 55 to 65 to get ahead, first car said nope and went 60 to keep ahead of us. I look in the back of my mirror and I see the cop car was getting a bit closer as I edge it up to 75, Road construction in about 1/4 mile. He then flips on his lights and I floor it (idk why I got scared a bit ._.) 118 we get past the car ahead of us. he turns off his lights as we pull into that lane, I hit my brakes and slow it down to 57ish as I cross over into oncoming trafic (not really. one whole side of the highway is being worked on so you have to cross over) and I look back in the mirror to see if he wants me to pull over for doing 118 right before a construction zone. But he just held out his hand with a thumbs up. My dad yelled at me for the speed but in the end he didn't care that much cause we didn't have to stop on the highway.

awesome, he was pleased with you for not hindering his abilities to catch all the people behind you speeding at a later date, I guess. I should post a pic of myself though, to make this real.

On a really really really cold day for a marching band competition I got cold and wrapped my blanket around my kneck so I could play and keep warm. It works a lot and the mother of our drum major who took this photo laughed a bit at me but says if it works then it works.

Oh? are we posting pictures from trips to the Philippines now?
I don't post pictures because I usually look terrible in them. I would look better now that I have my braces off, but this was before that.
Good ol Philippines. Which parts did you visit? I was on Panay.
Laguna, a few miles south of Manila. Right next to the big lake/volcano/mountain thing.
