I think we need a Ping limit of atleast 170 b/c the higher ping players take the more connection from the server causing the server to lag and likely eventually crash. The servers run just like in BF3 servers did...
It is pretty much impossible for one single player to lag a server, it actually places the player at a disadvantage if his/her ping is higher.
It really does not matter anyhow, Frostbite has been plagued with a horrible flaw that needs attention. What currently mainly plagues Frostbite is that the server only communicates with a player's client 10 times per second.
This is a huge issue, if you were to experience a lag spike or cpu spike it would dsync hitboxes to the point where you might find yourself shooting at a player that has his hitboxes say about five feet behind him/her. That can sometimes give the illusion that you either missed or that the player might be cheating when in fact you actually hit the enemy soldier.
Games like counter-strike do not face this issue for they report data between clients and server 100 times per second lessening the chance of desynchronization.
Hopefully this clears up some common misconceptions.
As for my take on kicking players with a high ping I strongly disagree, it is unfair for players with high ping as is.
IndeedThe people with high ping don't affect the server and already have enough trouble as it is.
