I hate the metro UI. However, once I installed classic shell I don't have to deal with that POS ever..

I never accused of making that suggestion at least that was not my intent. However, you right about if you are in budget AMD is the way to go.

If I were already getting rid of my current Cooler Master Scout case right now, I would so sell it to ya super cheap. Just working on getting myself an i5 & an ssd.

Just a side note: You may be looking at just the front USB ports on the case. Don't forget you'll have the USB ports on the motherboard in the rear. So it's 2 USB 3.0 ports in the front, plus however many available on the motherboard you pick.

Hmm, mostly comes down to between AMD and Intel. Guess this is the part I'll have to decide for myself.
 
I highly suggest /r/buildapc, they're great folks.

As for AMD or Intel, that's the age-old question. AMD is definitely cheaper to go with, and I think theirs are more gaming-tuned than Intel, which can also handle heavy workloads (or something like that).
 
Just some quick advice for you... When it comes to the intel/amd processors it is one of the most compared computer components out there.

Intel has better single thread power per CPU making it a little better for current generation games.. That being said is also more expensive than the AMD side of things.

AMD's processors including the FX-8350 which I have (Overclocked is a monster) is more cheap than even some of the i5 processors intel offers. AMD cpu's have more cores which makes them superior for multitasking and sometimes even editing and rendering. Keep in mind the next gen of games coming out in the future have talked about utilizing more cores per CPU. Which I believe will balance AMD and Intel out in the benchmarks standings..

Final say... Intel is as of right now better for gaming.. AMD has the best performance per dollar ratio. I own a AMD FX-8350 and it has yet to NOT handle anything I throw at it.

Your overpaying for the 760 in my opinion R9 270x has better performance for cheaper. I also don't know if I would trust a Hitachi drive, go with a Seagate or Western Digital, otherwise good choices.
