Maybe it's time to bring back CSGO jail. Sure, it wasn't exactly successful when it was released initially. However, that was back when in the early days of GO. There were not many people who had the game, and people still preferred CSS Jail because it was more populated. Now, more people own CSGO (Over 2 million players per month, and around 150,000 unique players per day). CSGO jail servers have gained more interest by the community, and are now more successful.

Since eGO has the maps and mod already ready, I don't think it will take much effort. As for the server, maybe it can take the Community Competitive, which let's face it, is more or less dead.

i would play cs:go jail a lot more than cs:s if we got one, to be honest

CSGO has 120k right now. CS 1.6 has 25k. CSS has 18k. CSS is a dying game, not a game ripe for building a new playerbase.

I think a lot of people are too serious on jail but it could be worth a shot. However I think a surf deathmatch or minigames would do better on csgo. Not many csgo surf death matches around and they're good.

Well you want to discuss, im open for it. HEMEM

I think its too early to even call that server dead. We recently JUST got it, and not once have I even seen you in the server. From what I have seen as well the only person ever trying to fill it is c-whit. I dont think its quite fair to call the server dead when 1. its amazingly easy to fill, 2. you havent even played the server once.

Now on to the jail part of it. I understand what you mean about css is losing people and csgo has more players. Now lets take that into perspective.
HERE is the GameME server listing for csgo, the top 5 has 2 jail servers in them and after 4 pages the next ranked jail server at 241.

I dont think its that successful. Making a jail server now would require a lot of support from the community to get a pub base and to have people in it every day. Which isnt happening with the server we already have.

Overall, I dont think its fair for you to say our server is dieing and you wanting to replace it without even playing on our csgo server at all. I do agree we need more servers, but at this time I dont think its a smart idea to just give up on a server this soon.

I'm not exactly active in eGO, lol. I thought this was the same Community Competitive from before I went inactive, which was around back then. Also, whether I try to fill it up does not matter, because I never claimed that Community Competitive is a good idea.

I do believe that people will be more motivated to fill up a server such as Jailbreak, rather than Classic Competitive. I mean, you said it yourself. The only person attempting to fill it up is C-whit. What does that tell you? It is evident that the community is not showing much interest for it. Like I said, back when I was active in the CS division in ~2012, the CSGO Community Competitive was dead, because even leadership preferred playing on the Official Competitive.

Those servers didn't start in the number one spot, but after time, they got to the top 5 positions. What makes you think that eGO is not capable of reaching the top 5 positions overtime? I've seen it happen.

Anyways, It's just a suggestion. I've had good times in eGO CSS Jailbreak, made a lot of friends.

I tried filling the GO server for a month strait. Like 2 people consistently help when leadership isn't in the server.

Closed.

Attend the meeting tonight and bring this up.
