Hi guys probs not my place to say but how do you become an admin? Just I've been playing on our dinner server since 7pm today (currently 11:32pm in the uk) and saw a few afks and was wondering how you become an admin.

Hey Fluke~ thanks for the interest, and a common question.

Normally, the way it works is the people who are consistently on teamspeak and in game will be promoted. This includes, first and foremost, having fun! Enjoying your time in the game, both with other members and our public players alike. If you are gently reminding people of the rules, and grabbing an admin when they dont listen, as well as just being around a lot... mostly these things combined will get your name on the radar for a promotion.

Also, those who ask for admin usually are not granted it. Being in Teamspeak and present in the servers often is a great start!

It's a completely legitimate question. When I came into the clan, I was told a few things. Number 1, just have fun and play the game that you enjoy. Number 2, don't cause trouble and follow the server rules. Let the higher ranking guys handle most of the problems, whether it's swearing or hacking, anything. Stay as active as you can in the community, that means the forums and what not. I can't say for sure, but I got promoted because I got to know people and the more people who know your name, the more likely you are to get noticed.

If you run into this problem again, add one of the admins as a friend and call them if there's server issues.

Once again, have fun and I hope to shoot plenty of rockets at you on Donner.

Hi Q long time no speak!!

Thanks that cleared things up I wouldn't dare ask to be an admin apart from the question I just asked of how do you be one as knew wouldn't be granted adminship! Obviously other commitments I have stop me from playing as much as I used to but when I do play like today been playing for 3 hours straight on the dinner server and I loved it oldman did also make it for me but everyone was friendly on it.

The only thing that is puzzling me is the team speak. How do you get it and what is the channel? As I think I have teamspeak but I'm not to sure.

You also have to be very, very, very lucky.

Just be involved, adhere to the rules, help your fellow community members, and get to know your leadership members. The name of the game is just have fun. Helping to fill servers and recruiting will also be a positive thing to have on your virtual resume.

I read the post from a standpoint in that he was concerned about what to do with afks, so I'll answer that question for you If you see afks and the server is full, contact an eG or eGO and they can help you clear out the afks. Other than that, all the advice above will get you noticed and you'll be an admin before you know it! Just be dedicated and friendly
