So, since we now have a special section dedicated to the game and the series to discuss it, anyone thinking about getting or preordering the game? Thought, opinions, possibly even criticisms about what we know about it so far?

Its a Battlefield game, some might agree some might not but there are dedicated battlefield players like myself that will pre order it soonest there are more details out.

I've played every single star wars games in existence, all the way back to Nintendo and pre Nintendo days. I've watched all the movies and cartoon series. I have real FX Light Sabers, the same ones they use in the movies. I have Starwars life-like statues, books, and toys.

In other words, I'm a Starwars nerd and I'm definitely preordering this.

I started out playing Star Wars games when I little on the NES. I had SWBF 1 and 2 (still have 2) and I will own this one.

I'm buying this for the Battlefront aspect more than the battlefield. Never been a fan of the way EA does their shooters... But the battlefront games mean to much to my nostalgic sensibilities to pass up on that. I hope that they incorporate third person mode like in the previous games. That's what made it so appealing to me.

if we get a group going, you should let me lead. i'm a guildmaster on 2 different servers in SWTOR. that's a Monday-Saturday schedule, Sunday is our only day off and we're constantly improving in my Stronghold. Our ranked PVP for season 4 was undefeated and season 5 ranked PVP just started. I have over 10 maxed out characters in SWTOR and I'm about to have max characters on every server by this fall. 12x XP bonus in full blossom until fall. If this takes off good and you guys reconsider TOR, you should get me involved. I have plenty of Starwars friends that'll be on board if I tell them.

i've never been excited before for eGO to pick something up. star wars does it for me.

LOL Dutchy. Waiting on some reviews and gameplay to come out before I decide. Maybe even a week after launch because of EA track record of crummy netcode on multiplayer games at launch as of late.

don't think i've played any of the battlefronts, but if it's similar to the way the battlefield series is, and from what i've seen so far in trailers, i'll probably end up playing it since BFH was a flop. my midi-chlorian count is extremely high, so i should excel. =P

I'm going to pre-order it. I don't much care that they turned Battlefront in to essentially a Star Wars skinned BF4. I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan (I grew up playing Star Wars games [Jedi Outcast FTW]) and loved playing Battlefront so so much; so there is NO way I'm not getting Battlefront 3!

I will be pre-ordering this. Played very lil of the 1st battlefront, never played the 2nd one. I am a star wars fan, so hope this is good as it looks.

Yeah... Sometimes I'm amazed at these college graduates with BAs in marketing... and at how NONE of their knowledge they apply.
