New Hardware *Update* PC Build

Never scrimp on power supply. Personally I prefer to purchase from the higher end manufacturers (Corsair, Cooler Master, etc). I haven't purchased or know anyone who has used an Ultra branded power supply, so I cannot confirm of the quality. But for 30-40 dollars more, you can get a high quality power supply.Something like this
 
Agree with Mr_B on this. Going with a cheap power supply is never a good idea and from off brand manufactures. I have seen peoples' hardware completely fry from a cheap PSU going out. I take you are going to over clock your CPU since you are going with a K model. I would suggest going with a water cooling for the CPU then. H100 or H100i. Closed loop and easy to setup.
 
PSU: You get what you pay for. Read that it has a lifetime warranty, but it has a bad reputation when it comes to customer service. You've been warned.

Any reason for going with a $190 full tower?

I thought the same thing on the tower and then saw how many fans it comes with. That saves some coin on those. Not a bad looking case, either.

More fans = more dust to deal with.
Honestly you dont need that many fans 3 is plenty enough
 
Thanks everyone, I want the case because it has tons of room for upgrades, I plan to do more upgrading and stuff after I get the PC. Plus its nice to have room and good cooling. I do have a couple more questions though..

Would this CPU fan fit on my i7 6600k? It's a new chip and socket so didn;t know if it would still fit.

I have not used an EVGA PSU before but it is gold certified. You are heading in the right direction.
 
yes works with any processor I have the same Fan for my AMD 8370, 8 core 4.5 GHz processor pain to install but works better then the watercooling I had
 
I was just curious what made you go with the 6700k over the 4790k. I know its skylake vs haswell (whoops put maxwell instead of haswell here lol)and that skylake runs cooler but overall the 4790k h as a few advantages over the 6700k that still makes it relevant in power. Just mentioning this because you can get it sometimes cheaper then the 6700k and it wouldnt gimp any of the other hardware in the pc as it supports sse3 to.

The price difference is $30 between the two CPU...

If you already have a Haswell or even Sandy based CPU I would not upgrade. But if I was doing a fresh build like what the OP is doing, I can't find a reason not to go with the latest and greatest.

Also cpu/gpuboss is a horrible horrible horrible site. The site is such a joke.
 
Alright awesome glad it will fit! And yeah I want the latest and best out because it's a new build. My first to so I'm really excited! Thanks for all the help everyone I really appreciate it! :)
 
@Matt98 To expand on Chocolate's response, the other big decision is to stick with DDR3 or move onto DDR4.

1) Go wtih 4790K, you need to remain with DDR3 until it get phases out (which will prolly take another 3 or so years, minimum)

2) Go with 6700k, you jump up to DDR4 and future proof yourself
