So on October 8th the Open Beta Started for Armored Warfare. Now i know some of you have never heard of this game so i will run it down.
Armored Warfare is a competitor to World of Tanks, and it shows a lot of promise. Now what does this mean? Yes there are similarity's and those are...
1. Health Bar tanks
2. Small'ish maps
3. Standard 15 v 15 PvP
4. Gear
and thats about it.
Now what are the differences?
1. Modern day tanks
2. ATGM's or anti-tank guided missiles
3. Armour upgrades that have their own separate Health
4. Retrofits, its like the gear you could buy in world of tanks like camo netting, however you have to unlock these via grinding certain tank lines and the bonuses are much better, such as, increased Health, improved reload time, better vision range and so on.
5. Bigger maps, these are on the way, but they will be bigger then any world of tanks map
6. Build-able base, which gives you in-game discounts. Everyone has one, and all you have to do is collect 100 raw materials each day. No battles and no base defending via clan v clan fights
7. Built-in warning systems if you are targeted by artillery or an atgm.
8. Counter arty, its a system only for arty, but once you fire your arty gun, you are shown on the map for two seconds and a giant red circle tells the enemy the area you are in.
9. You can not one shot tanks. Well unless you are a tier 1 vs tier 5, but the mm system is +1/-1.
10. PvE, yes not only does the game have PvP, but it also have PvE.
Those are just some examples. Currently AW is in Open Beat as of October 8th. The game is also Free 2 play and is not Pay 2 win, meaning no gold rounds like in wot's and the grind is faster then world of tanks.
