eGO has been the refuge of many an old clan that lost its way.

I'm wondering how many of you guys were in old clans?

eGO was born out of an old clan called Resistance Platoon -=R|P=-

Artimus and I were RP members. Along with many of our early members.

What other clans were you with back in the day? Or is eGO your first clan?

I was in clans for other games that eGO did not support. My first DOD:S clan and my only clan was and is eGO.

I floated around a bit, spent some time at a few independent servers that had a team, but weren't a clan, so really just eGO. Spent a little time at Made in Texas when Nurse went over.

I was originally in a clan called SPY, which was created by my dad RED, after he left the AOF (although he was in the AOF under the name EAT YOUR LIVER). He did not leave for any particular reason, he had just joined the navy, got back from training and decided to start his own clan (with Navy ranks instead of AOF army ranks :D)
I believe he was in the AOF back in 2004. The AOF was a very old clan and I believe they formed around 2002. AOF stands for Angry old Farts.
Both the AOF and SPY were g-rated servers, if mickey mouse wouldn't say it you couldn't say it in the server.
I joined the AOF in 2007 after my dad disbanded SPY. The AOF was disbanded at the end of 2013 due to the constant updates that broke the servers, decreasing donations and everyone was busy with life. Many of us were active in the forums but just didn't play the game anymore.
I had just built a new PC and wanted to get back on DOD in November of last year.
After a very short time in the server, John recognized my AOF tag and gave me a new home.

I had actually played on the eGO servers many years ago, I loved the 24/7 flash server. I know the Avalanche server was played by a few AOF members as well.

the 606th and the FOS (Family of Soldiers) were also allied clans of SPY/AOF. The 606th, AOF and FOS had admin on our servers. The 187 and the FF (Freedom Fighters) were created by SPY leadership who left the clan.

Started playing internet games in 1994 until I joined my one and only clan, ego on 29.8.2008, and I will remain with ego until that day?

LONDON BLITZ

My old main clan would be TrU "Tactical Response Unit". Clan was around over ten years. Before that I was in a few other clans. Between TrU and eGO I was in a few others as well. Took a while to find another good home

clans

i started online gaming with ego about 2008 never played online before and realy enjoyed it ,found the colmar map with BG and was on it for a couple of years till it stopped and then some of us homless members had a go at our own servers but was very hard to compete with ego ,so anyway ive come full circle and playing where i started a great community and server and i was always told ego is not a clan lol its a comunity cheers all

There was a super small DoD:S clan (whose name escapes me) that I was a member for. It lasted for maybe a month before it just disappeared.

Then I happened upon the eGO Avalanche server!

eGO is the only clan that I've ever been apart of. I've been in communities for other games but never actually joined any of them until I was introduced to eGO and that's where I'll stay.

I knew the AOF pretty well.

There are still a lot of Buxom Bombshells and a few Kustom Kettle guys around

There are a handful of us here that all started in {:WAR:}.(Willing, Able, Ready) When I first became friends with Chuck Norris playing in Donner, we were all still active there. We even had a scrim against eGO (In which we lost, of course, but I sniped Blue Stealth so I was satisfied). It only took him a year, but he eventually recruited me.

Forgive me if I forget anyone...

Zer0
Predator Lark
True Canadian (different name now)
McDoodle
beert (for a bit, before we lost him to BF4)
Griztastic
and myself all came from WAR.

There is another that never joined, but he plays in our servers often, SYP T-bone, formerly known as Bonzii is a friend to us as well.

I joined eGO not because of DOD:S, CS:S, or TF2. I joined back in 2010 when eGO still had their Insurgency Division which morphed into other games such as Resistance N Liberation, Fistful of Frags, and some other Mods/Free to play games that were being released for Steam/ HL2. Then it morphed a couple of times and we now have OP:X.

Before joining eGO I had been in quite few other clans that supported mostly Starcraft, Diablo 2, WoW. Some died out and got reborn and at one time I was a "Division Leader," for old Counter-strike 1.6 & Source. I think at the time of Source, for an odd reason I had issues playing anything Source related other than Insurgency and some HL2 Mods.

Ooo eGO History 101! Didnt know where ego started from. Kinda cool to know. Im famiar with our modern day branches so this is cool.

I started in Monk later joined there cal team iclutch, then Warbon, THE, AOD, forgot the others, then eGO then left join realism clans the rejoin eGO :) fun times :)
