So i'm just posting this thread to give a general idea on how the game plays so far after playing 3 rounds of multiplayer.
The overall experience so far in the game is neutral but swaying to a negative viewpoint. Whenever I find a positive, there is a negative to balance it. For example;
The weapons are great to use but I cannot help but feel a "call of duty" feel to them, they are an instant kill at close to medium range.
Snipers are dominating the servers. There came several occasions where I would get the flank on a group of enemies and I would get picked off by a lone sniper way in the distance. That's not to say all snipers are great shots, but it gets tiring when 80% of your deaths are snipers.
Air vehicles are extremely OP. One player knabbed the gunship and went an astonishing 167-0. Why? Because the maps I have played on have NO ANTI AIR PICKUPS/VEHICLES/WEAPON PLACEMENTS. It's like DICE forgot to balance this area of the game.
Now, just to quickly talk about the performance of the game. Loading up for the first time I wanted to try and see if my rig can play on high at a solid 60fps, just as DICE states my rig can do.
WRONG!
My rig:
amd-fx 8350 4.5GHz - 8 core
GTX 970 4GB SC
24GB RAM
Running the game on a SAMSUNG SSD - Battlefield 1 is the ONLY game/program on my SSD right now.
At LOW settings, i'm hitting 23FPS. Players who have GTX 10-series cards are also complaining in game that they are only hitting 20fps on ULTRA.
Personally playing a game that spikes from 23-38fps and back down again, is very difficult, especially when the game is so intensive at close quarters.
The game is missing that Battlefield feel and unfortunately I cannot see myself transferring across from BF4 to BF1. The game is very unbalanced in my opinion. The weapons resemble a great similarity to Call of Duty in how they feel and play. Air vehicles are too powerful in the right hands. Ground vehicles are just as powerful, if not more. Performance wise, I hope DICE brings out some more stable patches during the trial to help counter these performance issues.
This thread isn't here to put anyone off the game, this is simply my own opinion and experiences so far with the game and will update if anything major happens.
UPDATE: So after playing a few more rounds I find that the game crashes. After contacting DICE Support I have found out that users who are using Windows 10 Anniversary 64-BIT OS are most likely to experience crashes/bugs due to the game being built on an experimental engine with Win 10.
Cancelled my pre-order because of the issues it's causing me :chair::chair::chair:
UPDATE 2: On further reading, for anyone with either an AMD GPU or CPU - DO NOT USE DX12
UPDATE 3: The general UI of the game, both selecting squads, end game and pre-game - are EXACTLY the same as seen in STAR WARS BF. Even the "Invite Partner" element is back and half the time you cannot spawn on your partner but when you do, you immediately die from a ranged sniper who was targeting you partner and it spawns you in the way of the shot.
It appears that DICE have removed the "Cannot Spawn in Combat" element, somewhat giving you a huge disadvantage if the only place you can spawn is on a squad member but immediately die.
GRENADES NEED TO BE THROWN FURTHER - it's as if you are throwing them in an under-arm fashion and do not go far enough.
PURCHASING WEAPONS - Yes you now need to do the same as you did for Battlefield: Hardline and now purchase weapons for use in your class. The starting weapons are absolutely horrid. You really need to burst fire your rounds and pace your bolt action to be able to get a hit.
UNCAP/SPAWN: It's wide open. If the Battlefield Division ever purchase servers from EA and host servers, the rules revolving around "Firing Into Uncap/Entering Uncaps/Explosives into Uncaps" will be null and useless. There is no cover on the maps I have played. Constantly getting sniped. Pushing out is almost impossible.
UPDATE 4: AMD users, there is a known issue where the blue screen of death can occur. To counter this, players have stated that you should put your "Mesh Quailty" on low. Currently the R9 series cards are having issues and DICE are aware of the issue and doing what they can to resolve this.
UPDATE 5: After having a detailed look at the server stats and setups, it appears that all the servers are default 60Hz. Which may explain the abnormal spikings in FPS. I remember some of us had this issue when we attempted to try 60Hz on our Servers.
UPDATE 6: After looking through the new UI and my career stats, there is no option to add/change your clan tags. I am assuming this is going to be a feature included at release but for now it is concerning that that option is not available.

but there are others players on GTX 1080s for example struggling to hit 60FPS, especially certain areas of maps where FPS dropped to 12...

It's def. my GOTY candidate for 2016 (will still be seeing how Titanfall 2 is).
