^100% exaggerated I know but its meant to be funny.. (Also idk why the saturation was all fluffed up)

I know almost every "secret" to every jail map currently on the jailbreak server, at a certain point we had clouds on the server so everyone started overplaying the map because it was something new until people got sick of it. Pizza Steve as well as Rouge Sniper have made some new maps and current have been tinkered with but in my opinion there's not enough interesting secrets or ways to rebel on the maps currently in jailbreak, that are different and innovative from current maps. Or the ways are to challenging so I haven't figured them out/ am able to do them, I think that's why certain maps are not played to often. TTT had a few new maps added and I think that's what jail need to spice it back up, personally i find it more fun when there are secrets that are useful for t's and ct's. I understand its easier said then done but jailbreak needs more fun maps. There are many maps on the steam community that I'm sure would be nice to add or maybe map creators could gain inspiration from.

No disrespect to any make makers
, I personally think the maps are great but I'm just suggesting what may be the issue in jail.

Please reply to this thread with your opinion on how jailbreak can be improved, I may be totally wrong about needing new maps but jailbreak needs something:(. Since we cant change the players I'm not sure what jailbreak how else to fix jailbreak but this might be it.

Secrets just make it harder for those who don't know the map and gives an objective advantage to those who do. Maps need a balance between the rebellion opportunities given to the Ts and effective control offered to the CTs. Most maps gives CTs awps and offer no cover for the Ts, basically killing any chance at rebellion for anyone who doesn't spawn in a vent/gun cell. Having the balance set in such a way that Ts can only rebel when CTs make major mistakes results in the Ts being unable to do anything unless cts are complete junk and ignore everything.

Not that the above is what's wrong with jail in its entirety. It's mainly guards constantly ruining the fun by killing the Ts for no reason before they leave cell block while wardens play the exact same game every round with the 3 ts who actually made it out of cell block. And then you have wardays with the expand time stupidly late into the round, and now you have people who are dead 90% of the time in jail, and aren't even having fun when they are alive. and the Ts who never rebel, even if a gun falls in their lap. Nothing puts me off playing T more than a team unwilling to rebel, who are okay with the boring status quo and refuse to take up arms.

I am fine with all the maps i think they are great. i think the reason jail has died is beacause strict wardens and bad cts

People enjoy jail too much to let it die but we should get to filling that server. Easy way to do this if you can't make announcements is to join the server and start inviting all of your friends!

Exactly, I feel as if more people need to stop making posts about it, and actually get to doing. There's currently three posts about getting jail back up and going, but the best way to do it is to get your friends on; idle on the server; and make yourself an active contributor to the overall mood and flow that is Jail. Things just don't die on their own, we have to make the jail environment a positive one, and everyone needs to become their own leader in game.

Want jail? Invite your friends, do silly or different things that makes us different from a normal jail day without the typical warday. Spice it up!

Also, when pubs join the server, make it a place where they can have fun too, it's the best way to keep a server population alive, and eventually get them to join the community itself, and their goal will be the same as yours is.

If you really want the Jail server back to the way it was, less posting; and more doing.

Perhaps bring back the fast fill task force concept other divisions used? Have a few people in a steam group who can make announcements and bring a group in who can get things going, and help keep things filled.

People are saying that strict wardens and bad cts are to blame for jail dying, but other Jail servers that are fully populated have wardens that are way worse and cts that are way more strict so maybe that's not the problem.
I think that overall the rounds are too slow and long, for example, transitioning from game to game. Also LRs take really long and people who are dead are waiting.
Also knightfight is a great map and we should put it back in the rotation.

No single reason is to blame for jail's decline, but a multitude of reasons amplifying each other. Long rounds wouldn't be a problem if the rounds were fun, rounds not fun wouldn't be a problem if Ts rebelled, and Ts not rebelling wouldn't be a problem if the rounds were short. None of them are objectively bad on their own, but all 3 together makes for an unplayable slog.

The big reason why the servers empty most of the time is because no one wants to fill it. Its hard work filling a server unless you join TS and other people are actually willing to join.

Back in Ye Olden 2010 times jail would always be filled because there was always people wanting to play on it and actively filling it. That kind of died off.

I realize we have a Server Fill Team, but for a server to actually fill we need more than a team, we need a player base. Keep in mind I'm not saying the Server fill team does a bad job, they do an amazing job, but they need more than just the team to fill a server, they need people wanting to join them thats not part of the team.

The only worthwile form of filling that I've seen work on jail is a giant group of people joining at the same time, which has nothing to do with a few people idling it. All this talk about filling the server, yet I've seen Rogue Sniper sitting in server for the last 3 days by himself. Idling a server that requires 10+ active people to even get started isn't going to do much.

Strict wardens cause bad rounds, because many will sit in cell block for 2-3 minutes before figuring out what to do and in doing so kill off many Ts.

Then they will repeatedly (over different rounds) use the same game thats closest or easiest to do. This means many Ts are dead waiting.

By the time 1 T is left, it has been 4 - 5 minutes and then usually that T does a long LR that is 3-4 minutes long.

Compounded this causes the rounds to be unnecessarily long (7-9) minutes with many Ts waiting.

Having better wardens mean less die right off the bat, allowing to play the game instead of waiting dead for 8+ minutes.

Also, we have a created an initiative for helping players become better wardens and make everyone have more fun., so feel free to share it and help make Jail a more interactive and interesting place.

I suggested about a plugin that kept track of stats on rebellers and gave them a reward for being the top in that field for the previous week, no one commented on it so I figured most Ts want LR instead of actually trying to rebel, either by working together to escape or using the grenades and equipment to create havoc and confuse the CTs.

We need more leadership interaction in creating incentives or creating an environment in getting people to join and stay on jail, instead of leaving after one or two maps.

People keep talking about filling jail, Ive been the only one in there for the big part of the last 3 or 4 days. While idling doesn't do much by myself if more people idled it would get higher on the list when sorted by population. Most people can load CSGO, load a server and then alt-tab just fine to do something else or play a non-Source game.

Also idlers should join out of spectators and play when you see people connecting to help show the server isn't full of spectators but people willing to play.

other servers have Terrorist talk enabled. maybe allowing T's to talk would be more fun. they could call out bad cts and it would be easier instead of typing. and if a T is mic spamming, warden can just mute him.

That would cause problems for the warden to give out orders. Imagine 1 warden against so many Ts. It would be chaotic.

I think that the cause of this is the dull wait that Ts have to sit through to re-spawn after they die. I have left many times because I did not want to wait for such a long time. I believe if we give the Ts something to do whilst waiting it will reduce the amount of players leaving the game.

I have also joined lots of times in the past couple of days but no one is ever on.

You don't know what you're talking about, if you've been on any other jail server that has T talk enabled you would know that wardens ability to give orders is not affected. T's don't want to be muted for the entire map so they will respect the rules.
