Hey guys, we need some serious help! Please check all of our servers as much as you can, to make sure they are all up, running, and full. If you see an empty server please help us get people into the servers to get them populated. If you see an empty server, jump into Teamspeak if your not already in and try to get other members/leadership to help you populate the servers. It is very important to keep all of our servers populated as much as possible because eGO will not continue paying for servers that sit empty, "Like our BF1 server does often." We want to grow and expand as a community, and keeping our servers full and problem/punk free is the only way to achieve this. With the release of BF1, it seems to have split the player base up, and many people like BF1, while others still prefer BF4 making it more difficult for us to keep the servers full in both games. We really need to keep "ALL" of our servers full because an empty server is nothing but a liability and a cost that eGO doesn't need. We are a large enough community, and have enough members that if we all just pitch in a little bit, we can cover all of our servers and ensure they stay full with ease, but it does take a team/community effort. Thanks in advance for your efforts to keep eGO the top gaming community! See you on the Battlefield :)

I don't have BF1 but will be glad to help with the bf4 servers

Seed our BF4 servers whenever possible and will try to get back into BF1 now that I am home from university. I've noticed that the general player base for BF1 on PC has reduced by about 8% but hopefully the new DLC will brings players back and people will find our server.

On another note guys, for those who play on our BF4 servers, simply putting something in chat like "Play Bf1? eGO also has a BF1 server! Just search eGO in the search filter!" or "Interested in joining and playing with other eGO members? Sign up today @ www.edge-gamers.com".

Just something that gets a bit of chatter and in the chat. Sometimes seeing an actual eGO member/admin saying this in chat is a lot better than the auto-message bot in chat.

See you on the battlefield!

I can tell you I have/and still play BF1 most days since its open beta and release. I thought the BF1 server was killed because of the 20 person requirement to start the game.

I go to the eGO main page, "GAMING", the "GAME SERVERS", and BF1 is not listed in the active server listing that eGO has running as a game.

I go the forums, Battlefield, and "Battlefield Leadership/Server IP" thread, and it is blank.

So, how is any one in eGO going to it exists?

I mean, I read the forums almost daily, and play almost daily, and I did not know.

PS:
I checked TS and the TS rooms for BF1 and BF4. BF4 has links in the info field for the eGO BF4 game servers. BF1 room does not have any info to find the eGO BF1 game server or that it exists.

Now that I know, I logged in to Origin, loaded BF1, searched for eGO in the search function for servers, found the eGO server, and how have it saved in favorites.

On a personal note: When I loaded BF1, I had to move BF4 to the hard drive to make room on the SSD for BF1. I played BF4 once after the move. BF4 took so long to load, I mean really really long time to load, I have not bothered to play it since. Do not know if anyone else has experience this issue as once you get use to the SSD speed, you don't go back.

To find our BF1 server you only need to put eGO in the search filter in Battlefield 1's multiplayer area in-game. Also, if you request to join the EdgeGamers platoon, you will be able to see fellow platoon members in the server they are in and have the option to join them.

Our BF1 server is also not listed on the GameMe servers list due to the inability to acess the BF1 server list on a public domain (or something of that instance). I hope that in the near future DICE will accommodate for this and allow the ability to stream our server to GameMe.

But in the meantime, seacrhing eGO in Battlefield 1's server filter or joining the EdgeGamers platoon is your best bet.

I've been seeding BF4 Siege as much as I can. I have three PCs and three accounts so I can really get a party going. The only issue is it gets so hot in my room so I usually only run one or two. Been seeing alot more eGO helping out seeding though lately. Keep it up.

You and me both Reaper have many accounts that help seed. I do agree with the heat, It gets Hot even with a fan. I moved one into our guest room so that way I don't need to liquid cool my office ;)

Hey Guys, its getting hard to seed the BF1 server and get it going. I've idled in the server for a while and even seen scribby's account logged in to help seed it. The problem is that as soon as someone joins and sees all the players are dead and not-respawning, they leave. I'm still going to keep the account in there whenever possible, but if this continues we might have to have the discussion about even keeping the BF1 server. DICE really dropped the ball with admin functionality.

It's not even admin functionality. What killed the community servers was the fact that we needed 20 people to start the round! It was only until the last major patch they reduced that to 6 and announced admin [well, if you can call them admin] powers. DICE have accommodated too much for the console playerbase and PC communities have taken a huge hit.

I'm currently doing everything I can to advertise our BF1 server in Lockers/Siege but the replies I receive follow the lines of "BF1 is boring... the game sucks... etc... ". It's not looking good :/

Hopefully they have learned from this and accommodate to both markets evenly and fairly, and a little off topic, i do hope the new star wars game does not follow the same path as BF1....

That is great LBR, Thank you> Don't get discouraged. If you believe in something and have faith it will shine through all the bull crap that players throw back at you.
Keep up the awesomeness!!

The thing that really hurts our server for bf1 is the fact that it is listed as a custom game for the fact that we lowered the start count to 6 players. Our server does not show up on the server list like most do. So when we do get enough people in the server to start its hard to keep it filled with players.

Question?

Is there a way to start the server with 6 people and switch that setting once the server gets populated enough for regular player counts?

What EA/Dice needs seems to need is new manaagement. They need to focus on seperating Console built games from PC built games but keep the same story lines and actions. They keep building the games for both together and it just does not work. The start count of player used to be 2 players to get it going even in BF4 and was quickly buffed to 4 players. It did really hurt that after all the community alpha and beta test that EA/Dice still did not listen to the customers and players for admin functions and gameplay availability. Then when they said oh it takes 20 people to start that was ridiculous in numbers even for the biggest BF clans out in the community. They wanted to spearhead this matchmaking crap which is not how PC players want to play. Then they said oh we will finally build admin into the game and lower the start limit to 6 well all good but not so much they screwed the pooch again with poor admin and vip slots and they blew the ability for servers to be normal mode and went custom. Those operating servers know that custom is our worst enemy for PC. It makes it so our server is not visible to main lists and harder to fill due to players think its not what they want. They want normal mode. If updates hit and our servers for BF4 went down and went custom they would not fill. We would manually have to put them to normal again. In our configs we have a hard stop to keep them normal. LBR is somewhat right though at the mentality of players that had hope for the best game and were disappointed again. Many times i have as well seen discussion back in BF4 servers that BF1 sucks and is horribly laggy and about the admin and such. I remember when BC2 came out and was one of the first major games with destructables in it everyone loved it. That and they took a few years to build and perfect. Since BF4 its like every game now is essentially an open beta test. Every few days to every other month new patches and issues. All these should have been done. Then i hate the fact that someone does like how they built weapons and vehicles to perform like in real life that upset players that are getting killed and then complain and everything is nerfed. Like since when does a real life stinger not take out a helo in one - two shots? In game now it take like 7 stingers and an anti air mine to maybe kill or maybe just send the helo spinning into recovery. The last few games have been a major flop for competing with COD and the console/pc mess. Look at Hardline, Battlefront, and BF1 have all failed the community here and has driven players away.

DarkRaven I couldn't agree with what you said more. Last night I spent about 2 hours idling the server while doing my other work, and nobody joined. I dunno what more we can do as a group to fill the server, but it's just not working unfortunately.
