Battlefield 4 Questions about no spectating rule

Howdy. I have questions about the no spectating rules for the BF4 Siege server.

I wasn?t able to find any references to this rule in the in-game rules, or at https://www.edge-gamers.com/rules/ or at https://www.edge-gamers.com/forums/showthread.php?289287-Battlefield-Server-Rules .

What exactly are the rules against spectating?

As far as I know spectators are allowed. But you may be kicked from spectator mode if a admin needs the spectator spot.

There inst a specific " rule " that relates to spectating - in your case several players complained of someone providing details to players ( ghosting ) while in spec mode. In fact someone in team VOIP detailed that they may or most likely are getting help with someone who's friend is in spec mode.

In this case I believe you were in spec mode for just under 2hrs of game play thus the Admin sent to you the following after being notified that there may be a spectator violation in progress:

After seeing that you had been in the Spectator slot for 2 hrs - the Admin issued the following to ensure fair and non-disruptive game play

Jul 16, 2017 6:33:13 pm Admin: MoButter - this will be your last game in a spectator slot
Jul 16, 2017 6:33:29 pm Admin: Players are saying you are assisting ( ghosting )
Jul 16, 2017 6:34:06 pm Admin: Please do not disrupt the server by assisting players from the spec slot

You were not kicked from the slot

I was not helping anyone, nor did I communicate anything I saw with any other person. I find it very hard to believe that several players complained about this. What specifically are the details I am alleged to have provided?

Not seeing your point here ... The admin was alerted to someone spectating and giving help - you were identified as the spectator

You were explained the situation and you left ( you were not kicked ) end of story

I can only assume after 2hrs and complaints there must be some truth to something happening - The admin acted on the facts at hand and ended the issue

You were not kicked and a full explanation was provided above

An admin asked for the spectator spot so you were kicked to make room for him.

I was configuring new software to record gameplay and changing settings while I was playing was not working out.
