That, or Fairy Tail, even though I'm not sure the anime is anywhere near where the manga ends.

Starting next season (fall anime), Fairy Tail is starting up its final season which will run to the end of the manga.

Im starting to get into Darling in the Franxx. The Whole plot structure heavily reminds me of FLCL, While 002's situation reminds me of Claire's from Claymore.

Had these on my backlog for a while, but I finally decided to start them

Sadly I won't have much time to watch anything for a bit. Once I take my GMAT on the 15th, time to toss the books aside and bring out the anime.

Just finished watching Megalo Box and I highly recommend it, It's got a great score, very good animation and the style choice of the show is great. The only way I could fault it is the story is pretty predictable but it's defintly worth a watch!

Little different one here. Band called CHVRCHES (pronounced Churches) did an anime music video for their new song. Visuals alone are pretty cool, tracks decent

Just finished Darling in the Franxx. It was good up until Episode 20, Where it felt like they were trying to cram too much plot into a 24min window. They could of made a season to out of the events of the last 4 episodes.

This seems to be the most common complaint about the show I've seen, sort of swayed me from watching is yet.

To be honest, the show is pretty forgettable. It's enjoyable, but it doesn't really have any qualities/uniqueness to it that will make it a long standing show. As much as people may hate to admit it, Clannad is the exact same. Definitely an enjoyable watch, but it's just another school harem that is easily forgettable. Although, less so than most of the other shows in the genre that people probably can't even name. Franxx will probably still linger around the heads of people a few years from now, but I have a feeling it will be replaced by something else sooner rather than later. When you compare these to shows that either define, fully embrace, or set new standards into their genre, franxx just falls short. Just as an example, Shinsekai Yori redefine the psychological genre for me and set a standard for a high quality show within it.

But then again, that's just my opinion.

It's a Good show. Episode 1-3 is full of a bunch of Cringy Sexual Innuendos, So get past that and the plot starts to define itself. But at about episode 20, It's like the Writers did 5 lines of coke, Downed a Monster energy and thought "Ok, Let's throw THIS curve ball into the situation". And the plot suddenly turns from these kids piloting mechs to almost an entirely new show.


But don't be afraid about watching it. I was on the fence too. The writer actually got death threats over the events of episode 14 Lol.

Edit: 002 is prob the most memorable part of the series. A pink haired girl with horns is bound to catch attention.

Gotcha. I'll probably get there eventually, got a few shows on the go right now (see above) so it's low on the priority list. I never watch seasonal, always wait for a few reviews
