Remove Knifes Minigames

Yesterday, I saw a post with "Remove bhop from awp." Why don't we remove knifes from awp, headshot only, and other things. We shouldn't remove bhop. On awp, the maps are very large and people just bhop the entire time, but they knife. What would be the point removing bhop?

Are you able to remove knifes? If so then that would 100% be a better solution than removing Bhop.

removing bhop would be a simpler solution i think. it prevents people from getting annoyed with others who just bhop the whole map rather than actually playing awp as it should be played. for example awp maps like lego Asia are so much more fun without the bhop and just the awp and skill and stuff

That's again doing it manually. Mini-games has maps that requires people to knife. Just like removing bhop from specific maps requires manual removal, so does the removing knives from specific map requires manual work.

There is always going to be a huge downfall no matter what action is taken.

I think we should just lower the speed of bhopping. Removing it as a whole is a bad idea, but lowering the speed would be good.

A lot of the maps on awp_multigames are huge. It would be very boring if we got rid of BHOP. Ghost.

Carter, being able to use your knife on awp maps are quite a big part (In my opinion). Whenever your up close to someone after whffing like 10 shots you start to knife fight which is fun. I rather have a knife fight than constantly trying to awp each other and miss all the time, which is kinda akward.

Yes I know, but people knife the entire time. And all the maps are big, and if you don't like auto bhop go onto the awp maps that don't have bhop.

Did I ever say I don't like auto bhop. I simply do not like the ammount of speed younwould be able to gain.

The AWP is a long range weapon, and is generally pretty bad at close quarters. There is no reason to bhop on the large, long range AWP maps beyond knifing people, so why have bhop? If it ever does get to close quarters, the knife is there to either speed up the shot cooldown by rapidly switching, or going into knife fights instead. Bhopping has no role in an AWP map, while the knife does.

Just pls remove either bhop or knife. I hate being on that really big map and just getting knifed by someone who's going 100km/h. It kinda ruins the point of actually awping. I can't decide whether the knife or bhop should be removed because on one hand, bhopping isn't actually needed and can be game breaking, but at the same time on the BIG maps, you kind of need it to get across. Either way, one should go

Well removing Bhop from awp only games will be hard for then you will deactivate all of the other minigames that needs bhop.

If you remove the knifes you woulnd't be able to play minigames where you need a knifes so its both good and bad.

But if tech team can do some wudo plugin then i will be amazed

As of the moment we are going to leave it the way it is. There are a handful of factors right now that we are afraid will break the server and make it unplayable. One of the big factors is decompiling the map and making it where certain gamemodes on the map don't have knives which is bound to break something.


In the future we may look into this if there is a plugin that can disable knives at certain points. Cheers!
