Alright to start off with I just want to say that this is based off of some of the feedback that I have gotten from some of the people that play the bhop server. I will try to make this list as organized as possible. I will put them from most important to least important.
Old Styles: For styles there isn’t much that I have to complain about personally, but I know that some people such as
dryden
would like to have a few additional styles on the server such as, Real Half Sideways (better known as Surf Half Sideways), and A/D Only, right now we have Half Sideways and D Only but we don’t have a different option for both of those styles. It would be awesome to have a bunch of different styles to play on such as those that I previously listed. The styles aren’t a really big deal for me but I know a bunch of people that have been complaining about not having these 2 styles on the server. Also this doesn’t have to be for dedicated supporters like it used too but it would be awesome to have TAS (Tool Assisted) on the server to see who the really good bhoppers are on the server and who can get the correctly. Also bring prespeed back as it was one of the most fun styles to do as you’re flying through the map trying to figure out which way is the best way to go and how to keep all of your speed.
Prestrafe: Alright to start off with we are suggesting (a bunch of good bhoppers (not me)) that we increase the prestrafe to something similar to other servers with a prestrafe max speed of 290. The current 260 prestrafe max makes it extremely hard and annoying to get any good times on the server. If we change our prestrafe and remove jumping from the beginning zone our server could be one of the top servers that people go for world records on. Also this wouldn't really affect the once a month player who just gets on for a laugh, they won't experience any change from this at all.
Parkour: This is just something that must and I mean MUST come back. While I am not someone who is a active parkour user, there are many players that play on the server just for the good parkour that we previously had not the spider parkour that we have now. I have heard from multiple top parkour players that they will NOT be playing on our servers until the parkour is fixed to what it used to be. This current parkour is not at all new player friendly, hell I'm someone who has over 14 days on the bhop server and I can't even figure out how to properly do the parkour. People would always come on just to play parkour all day long and whoever they were would have a blast doing it. Personally I know at least 2-3 admins that said they probably would be playing the server a whole lot less because of this update to parkour as it is their favorite style and one of the most fun styles to play. Please bring this back for

's sake. One last thing you don’t have to completely remove the new parkour you could simply just make it it’s own style, such as Spiderhop or something like that.
New Styles: Third Person and Quake
Third Person: This is a pretty self-explanatory style, you’re able to go in to third person just like you could in a private game with sv_cheats on. This is just something fun that people can mess around with on the server, and go in third person and play like normal bhop on the server. Now I believe when you make this style you might have to disable the first person command as you are apparently able to use this command while in the style.
Quake: This is just a flat out fun style to play, so when you jump on the ground you gain about 50-60 speed on top of the speed that you had just gotten from strafing and bhopping around. Overall it’s just a great fun style to have on the server and would be a blast to play on.
Ranks: For the ranking system I and many other people, are not happy with the new ranking system at all. The way that the new ranks work is pretty frustrating, as you will have to be a master of every single style to be a high ranked player on the server. With this update it combined all of the styles in to one which is quite annoying when I'm trying to be the highest ranked player on the server in one specific style. This ranking updates is something that is personally really bothering me as now I don't feel rewarded for beating a map at all, I don't see anything about me getting any points which makes it extremely boring to play. While beating my time is great and all I don't get that reward saying =(eGO)= Divine has received 350 points. There doesn't feel like there's any reason to play on the server.
I think that's all I got for now, sorry if this thread is a bit scrambled and all over the place, I wrote this and found all the information over a 3 hour span. Please leave some feedback if you're a bhopper and give me your thoughts on the thread letting me know what you like and don't like. Thanks for reading.
