For me its just them being really lucky, like when they have a pistol or an smg and they are just strafing and somehow miss only 1 shot out of 5, and it'd be so easy to kill them if their movement wasn't so weird

.5 is a pretty long peek though and gives plenty of time for you to get one tapped lol

Allows you to be pretty accurate for the first 5-7 shots without burst firing.

the purpose of a counterstrafe is to stop a movement faster so that you can begin shooting accurately. the actually spray pattern isnt effected aside from the fact that the accuracy is improved faster. this is why jigglepeaking and stutter stepping exist and work well.
