As of this moment, there is an issue with character names. I just ran into an incident yesterday, I was working with an officer to clear a scene, saw that officer's name was his steam name, not his character name, so later when I went to call that officer over the radio (Teamspeak), I was looking for his steam name to reference, but could not locate him because his teamspeak name was his character name. I now had no way to connect ingame character info with teamspeak communication.
We need to make this process simpler.
I have 2 potential suggestions:
1. We change the system to list players ingame by their ingame character names instead of their steam names
2. We require players to change their steam names to match their ingame names
Either one of these will alleviate the problem we currently have where even though we were given a player's name recently, if we forget the exact name, we can't even reference it because the names listed in the server and teamspeak don't match up.
I think the best solution is solution 1. because it seems like it would be easier to automate name listings in the server than to try and make every new player switch their steam name to their ingame name. A lot of these players are known by their steam name in other games.
