Counter-Strike Global Offensive Jail Server Ok, but what if you could ban for toxicity

toxicity is basically what made the gaming community a thing.

What kind of comment is this? Speaking as someone in their 30s and has been around for basically the start of "internet gaming gone BIG" - Toxicity never used to be a thing. For the most part, people were just excited to be able to connect with other people from around the world which was never thought of as a possibility. "Toxicity in Online Video Games" only really came to be a big problem in the early 2000s. Before then, it was relatively uncommon to see someone be toxic for the sake of being toxic.

To actually state that you can't lower toxicity in a community because toxicity made the gaming community makes me speechless. I still remember the first day I heard some little kid scream on his mic to some other kid to "Go kill yourself" and I thought it was the most disgusting thing I heard a person say to another human being because he got killed in a game.

Do better. Be better.

shiiiiit man

we are all saying it's a rule and whatnot but the hardest part of banning for something as vague as toxicity is that we have to provide "enough" proof. i never carry a lot of evidence for one specific person and mainly it just feels like witch hunting looking for those "slip ups", LE and some confident AT's get to do this without much questioning (LE has access to proof and AT's are well trusted enough as a group).

we have the power to do it, but what's the point of placing this ban if it's just going to be reverted in 48 hours because "this evidence is insufficient/not really that toxic/doesn't break rules/doesn't technically break enough rules for this ban to be this high" which is frustrating because while provided evidence might not be so bad, the player is just making the experience worst for everyone.
i think admins should just be able to ban for any reason and not really need to upload proof or anything cause most of the admins are cool and should get a reward for being so cool

Please keep this thread on topic.
sorry about that good sir.

Here’s the thing, a lot of bans, especially in jail break, are up to admin discretion. It’s up the to banning admin to provide sufficient evidence for the reason they banned someone. So if it’s something like a MFK, it’s a simple as some logs and maybe a video, however for something like “toxicity” It can be a few clips of them intentionally shooting someone that’s barley swaying away from the wardens line (and clearly has no intent to rebel), or a continuous amount of toxic commands given (assuming their warden). Pretty much anything along those lines can be shadowplayed and uploaded within a matter of a few minutes. Also, a detailed summary of what happened, and saying what other admins were on while this occurred will usually be sufficient evidence by itself.

I do agree with what you said Mr peoples people, banning cts for toxicity is very fair

Imagine being a cop, arresting someone for a real reason, then going to court and the judge who's met you once and needs to be impartial goes "Yeah, we're going to hold up that arrest with no paperwork cause this mans legit".

In my opinion, as a ct, I am pretty toxic when they rebel a lot, and sometimes ct's have to be toxic just for the rebeling, but if there's unneccesary toxicity, then something should be done for it. I would give this a +1.

this is a game community, not actual arrests, there's alot of differences

also, too real :(

yeah the point is those times when there's absolutely no need for toxicity and people still try to fill their diminished egos by killing t's for like jumping once during an afk freeze

try to lower toxicity in a server, try it please, silencing one is not gonna change a thing

yeah, but this can be a step to keep admins on high alert for toxicity which'll make less of them show the attitude you said in your message
acidity you should take the "some admins dont do their job" to consideration., giving this power will just make them abuse it. Plus it might be true atleast to me that this will atleast make some admins do their jobs BUTTTTT admins that do this could give wiorse punishments to the people they hate which is also another part of abusing their power

While we're at it, can we please get increased punishments (that -cannot- be contested) for TTT? I think that might bring some better quality people (back) on the servers. Sometimes not even the maximum of the punishments sounds enough for specific players there.

Oh, and don't get me wrong, I know there needs to be a second chance given to people but for some of these people it's been the 5th, 6th or even 15th chance on the servers, and I doubt we do appreciate people that just produce issues constantly, around on any eGO server, right? Plus, I'm certain the same applies for JB (about troublemakers), just in a different way/form.
