toxicity is basically what made the gaming community a thing.
What kind of comment is this? Speaking as someone in their 30s and has been around for basically the start of "internet gaming gone BIG" - Toxicity never used to be a thing. For the most part, people were just excited to be able to connect with other people from around the world which was never thought of as a possibility. "Toxicity in Online Video Games" only really came to be a big problem in the early 2000s. Before then, it was relatively uncommon to see someone be toxic for the sake of being toxic.
To actually state that you can't lower toxicity in a community because toxicity made the gaming community makes me speechless. I still remember the first day I heard some little kid scream on his mic to some other kid to "Go kill yourself" and I thought it was the most disgusting thing I heard a person say to another human being because he got killed in a game.
Do better. Be better.
