[Forums] Check box "I have read the rules" for Applications

[redchance]

When new members are applying, have a check box [×] "I have read the rules and agree to abide by them". When clicking it, it opens a new tab to the rules for the game they are choosing on their app.

This ensures that every new member has at least been on the rules page and will increase the quality of our e tag members.

good suggestion. they shouldn’t be a member without at least being familiar with our rules and policies. while most people may just check it like a terms and conditions box, it’s still another thing to add to add a possibility of people being more familiar with our community

Fantastic idea bluechance

while were at it allow people the ability to link their steam when creating an application as well.

We should have that ability with Ban Contests as well on the form

Great suggestion redchance . This is definitely possible, I'm kind of indifferent to whether or not this will change much, it's just another step that prospective members have to go through. I'm definitely open to try this out though if the community thinks it might be good.

I'll give it a little more time to brew before I put it on my list for development.

This is already a planned feature. Eventually MAUL and everything will be very connected and work well with each other, but there's a lot more on the list of things to do before we get to that point. Statistics and MAUL connection are the 2 next big things with applications.

Make a separate suggestion for additions/modifications to the contest forum.
