Master Chief? Mind telling me what you're doing on that ship? Sir, getting destroyed at Checkers by sober Anya Taylor-Joy. Welcome EdgeGamers to The Kuantum Gambit! This is a Checkers tournament hosted by yours truly, kuantum kuantum , to complete off last year's Chess tournament. This will be hosted in a similar fashion to the Chess Tournament in that it will be community-wide! There will be a public bracket after signups are closed and dates are finalized! This will be hosted in the EdgeGamers Discord Server via Checkers in the Park!

PRIZES
1st Place: $20 Amazon Gift Card, MS Event Winner, and MS Event Award
2nd Place: One Month of Dedicated Supporter, MS Event Winner, and MS Event Award
3rd and 4th Place: MS Event Winner and MS Event Award
Everyone Else: MS Event Award

RULES​
  1. The EdgeGamers Code of Conduct will be enforced.
  2. AutoJump (Forced Jumps) is enabled. Per the American Checkers Federation's official rulebook, Section 1.20 states: "All capturing moves are compulsory, whether offered actively or passively". This is default and will be enabled.
  3. All matches will go until one player wins or until 15 minutes have passed. If there is a tie, a quick rematch game (8 minutes) will be played to determine the winner.

Checkers is the largest game that has been solved to date, with a search space of 5×10^20. The number of calculations involved was 10^14, which were done over a period of 18 years. The process involved from 200 desktop computers at its peak down to around 50.

Checkers is a solved game. Whoever goes first will always win assuming both players always play their best available move. For this reason it is inferior in every way to chess.

I dont know what checker is. But imma stomp this competition, without anyyyy problems. SHESH!
 
Proposed addendum to the rules:
4. At the conclusion of each match, the winning player will advance to the next round. The losing player will be banned.
