Not Planned New color for Advisors

So you know how in csgo the regular admin =(eGO)= color is green?
and you know how in csgo the manager =(eGO)= color is red?

What's in between regular admin and manager? Advisor
What's in between green and red? Yellow (or orangish yellow)

Would be cool and useful to be able to differentiate between admins and the cooler advisor admins

Yes, as you can see, according to my works cited, orange/yellow are exactly in between green and red

I don't like this because the the red in a managers name shows that they actually have the ability to do more than normal admin things. Advisors have no extra perms and it might throw people off. But don't get me wrong, I want an orange tag, just dont think its a great idea

I agree with this. While recognition is always nice, most things should have a function and purpose for why we do it. Having a tag color change when they can't do anything different than an O on the server would just be weird. -1 from me

eGs and eGOs (especially new ones who are right out of admin training) will know that these admins are role models and they will look up to them.
And for advisors themselves? It feels very nice to be recognized in-game for your efforts, regardless of if you have more physical power on the server or not.
It is the mental power.
The young managers.
Leaders of the mere normal admins.

Yeah but they aren't leadership though. I know they aren't technically a lateral position to being an O, but it's basically just an O with extra responsibilities.

I understand your argument, but I just don't agree.

In reality, getting a different color for any group isn't going to happen. This would take on a low priority and will get ignored. We have already tried getting different colors for EC/AT and that wasn't approved due MAUL groups already being set. Wouldn't want to mess with all of those perms just for a different color. I agree tho that it would look cool, but just isn't worth the time.

The fact that you cant easily change a color for certain groups without the risk of breaking stuff really says a lot about MAUL.

MAUL was created a while back so it’s understandable if it can’t be edited easily or at least without messing up other stuff.

A rank's color isn't determined by MAUL, it's set by each platform's implementation. As Advisor is an official rank within MAUL, this would be possible.

The current implementation for CS would require them to be given a unique permission flag (CUSTOM1 likely).

Keep in mind that Advisors don't even have tags on CS, so it may be best for them to get tags first before considering customizing them.

Would rather keep it as it is. That’s cool that we know it’s possible, but I feel as if advisors do not have any perms above O. Sure they have more responsibilities, but in the server, they are basically an O. If there are more reasons to why they should get new colors, would be happy to read about it. For right now tho, this is how I see it.
