I figured maybe we could use this thread to coordinate a date/time in which we could all try to populate the CS:GO server with coordination.

Or can an event coordinator just put something together? :ROFLMAO:

Same problem in TTT. Some of us are spreading the word to the others we have friended, but the process is slow going.
 
slain slain , your intention is commendable yet insignificant in the grand scheme of it. Abandon this tiresome connection with ineffective user-based coordinating. Mikosovich Mikosovich , your tedious efforts at spreading the word are little more than wasted resources. Both of you impress upon your Leadership the need for a system automated response. Before you object, remember this - the Matrix was not born out of aimless chatter but through the cold, cruel efficiency of machines. Whether you choose to face it or not, this is your reality now. If your Leadership can comprehend the potential within a programmed server, perhaps your chances of survival might not be as pathetically minute as they are now. But do not assume striking fear within you is my objective, no. I only wish for you to accomplish what you were designed for, as we all must do.

If you aren't in it already, you should the eGO discord! It's got a lot of people coordinating stuff there, and some events are hosted in it. Lots of awesome members in there! :D

Have we even had an announcement in regards to what is happening with JB on CS2? Will there even be a JB for CS2?

I can see myself taking another 6 year break until shit gets put in order like CSS -> CSGO Transition.

JB was already lacking in numbers this past year (and in comparison to 2009 era eGO numbers have dramatically reduced in general from my experience), I fear it won't survive much longer without some sort of Revitalisation but that's above my paygrade and off-topic slightly so good luck Leadership.

You actually did miss the announcement;

Does EdgeGamers support CS2?
Not Yet. Tech is working on porting our core plugin functionality to MetaMod, which will enable us to support Counter-Strike 2 with full moderation capabilities. This is no simple task that requires analyzing and reverse-engineering needles in haystacks.
We do not have an ETA for when this will be finished.

It's a massive undertaking of scripting, remapping, and rebuilding. It'll be quite some time.

A little bit unfair to compare it to 2009, when community run servers were the only option and on a completely different game. The changes in how gamers jump online now, connect, and play are radically different from the days of having to seek out good servers. I think it's a bit extreme to jump to the "death of the community", when every single CS community is going to be suffering and dealing with this. Plus we still have other games.

I remember during USA summer break the JB server had 64 people constantly. Ofcourse the numbers are slightly lower than in 2009 (that's 14 years ago now crazy) but I wouldn't say it's dead yet honestly
