Cyborg Saitek headset-BROKE!

This morning my 5.1 headset broke. Not to rag on our sponsors or anything, but this is the worst piece of junk I have ever spent $80 on.

What happened:

I woke up this morning and my headset (was as usual) laying around my mouse. I picked up the headset, and the earpiece detached from the band (that fits over your head). These earpieces spin about 30 degrees, and it is very hard to pop back into place. Not to mention when the thign came out, there was about 2 inches of damaged wiring inside. What a shame. I've had the headset for maybe a week and a half.

I'll be getting my money back ASAP!

My cyborg 5.1 headset broke as well a couple weeks ago. Same exact way. :o
I got the Cyber Snipa 5.1 headset last week to replace it.
Saitek is a good company, but I think something is up with the headsets.

i have the keyboard, no problems with it at all

was going to get the headset, until wally's broke

then i was like nah, ill get a different one at a different time
 
sorry to hear you're having problems with your gear crash :(

so far mine are holding up ok - guess I was lucky and they sent me a pair from the 'good' pile

4-6 weeks for processing? uncool! they should have a spare in the air :mad: I do not usually do repeat business with companies who do not support their stuff - I'm glad they are going to replace your headset, but 4-6 weeks is silly
 
I don't know if they will even accept it. I slammed it into the ground a few times, and aparently they don't accept abused products. That's cool though, I don't accept the fact they sent me a broken one either.
 
PNY told me 4-6 weeks for processing when I RMA'd my video card from them... I got a new one back in less than 7 days. Send them back and see how long it really takes... you are not going to be out anything vs just throwing them away.

Guess it's time to see if ducttape really can fix anything :)
 
Paying $200 for a headset is insane.

Anyways, I have not sent back my Headset yet but I plan on doing so soon.

Depends if you count how many 80 dollar headsets i have not gone through already then it has already paid for it's self =p

Even if they dont have a defect like the cyborg one does i will still break a headset.. the astro is super high quality, and it has honestly taken alot in the last 6-9 months.

exactly y i buy razer....i got razer speakers, 2 razer mices, razer mouspad, razer keyboard, and razer wire management. Soon i shall have razer headset but its not out yet. never had trouble except with my old mouse i spilled stuff in it.

If Ducttape uses some liquid nails and ducttape, maybe Ducttape *can* fix anything.

( Liquid nails - I swear by it. WAY better than any glue can hope to be. Fix my cracked up gear all the time with that stuff - best part, it fixes stronger than new. You can even fill in the hollow parts of headsets and stuff with it before they break to double or triple the strength of your gear. )

[ BTW : Blue stealth - see your sig, it says: Tanrhamni Mabratha (fam) {it's gibberish} . ;) I read Arabic. ]

Ducttape fixes...some things?

My Cyborg 5.1 Headset broke recently.

The sound output on these headphones is awesome, and the mic works good too. So....I decided to try some Ducttape.

So far they're holding together alright. The cup can't be rotated anymore, so they can't be stored in the saitek hard carrying case anymore. The sound is still good; I just have to be careful when handling them.
