Mix that with MentalRay 3D Raytracer, and you get beautiful work... but you'll spend all your TF2 time working to pay it off
But if you can get it, get it; after about 20 hours of instruction, and 10 hours of development, I made this in my college 3DSMax class
'Course, I didn't think to render each scene separately, which wasn't a problem until I had 3600 frames of animation, with a few tens of thousands of keyframes crammed into the timeline... I'm surprised it finished rendering, honestly (you can see the animation quality slowly ramp down..). So, again, 3DS Max... awesome program, but you're going to pay for it)
