Finally got around to buying a headset with some extra birthday money. Wasn't sure who to go with at first, looked at a ton of reviews, and decided after seeing some of folks comments on them decided to get my first pair of Turtle Beach X-52's.

I'm REALLY impressed. Even plugged into my sorry 5.1 on-board sound (M2N32 SLI) - they are incredible. Can't wait to hear what they sound like when my sound card finally comes in.

Easy setup, collapses well for taking to LAN's, easy mic removal, fantastically long cord, even came with a 1/4" converter. Oh, did I mention comfortable? Yeah, wear them all night without any discomfort.

Anyway, just wanted to throw my 2 cents out there for anyone else tired of having people sneak up on them.

Oh, and of course I ordered them through the NewEgg link in the eGOMall. Ordered Monday, received Wednesday - who can argue with that?
 
Wow...I'm going to try to rake in some extra money and buy a Turtle Beach headset hehe.
 
I got mine, but they definitely need to be paired with a good sound card. On board just isn't cutting it.

They're super comfortable. It's nice to have a set that completely wraps around my ears. Plus the 5.1 is very noticeable. Mostly when I play racing games. Driving through a tunnel in NFS... chills man, chills.
 
yeah i am hopefully going to save up enough money to get a good sound card, and a good headset. Hopefully i can get the money after i buy my new computer to use it

Just got my Turtle Beach Ear Force HPA2 headset in a few days ago

So far totally impressed :)

Very comfortable to wear and sound quality is good.

I like them so much I got another pair as a Christmas gift ;)
 
I have had two X-52 headsets since last Christmas. A little advice, be very careful with the braces that hold the earphones. They tend to, um, break if not treated just right.

Other than that I love mine. They totally rock!!
 
Hmmm, I was in the market for headphones and I am still unsure which to buy, Not too sure about these, was either considering something like these or a nice pair of stereo headphones and a dolby headphone amp/processor.

I have realtek HD onboard sound. I have never had any issues with it, do you really think a better sound card is absolutely necessary?

So I've heard. Imagine my horror to see my girlfriend just tossing my pair around. I swear, my stress levels have risen 115%
 
I am going to end up getting the Turtle Beach TBS-2114 off newegg probably next week after i get paid. (since my current pair totally broke....)
