tf2 freezing

every time i join a server the game freezes at the screen with the little continue button at the bottom.WHY?

Have you just waited to see if its just a bit of lag? I find sometimes my sound/game will seem frozen for 10 seconds or so, but then comes back. Try waiting and see if it helps.

it used to that to me i dont remember how i got it off, maybe it was settings too high

now it freeses for like .5sec

Yeah this happens for a bit, just wait a few seconds.

But what is the "Continue button" you talk about?

After you join the server, you get the continue button to go to the motd, then you can pick your classes.

I had that issue as well & I put in another gig of memory which fixed it. Do you get the "OS paged low memory pool" or something similar to that in the upper right corner during game play?

omg that was sooooooo annoying i had that, 2 gB of ram works fine

I had the problem...I don't know how I fixed it or if it just fixed itself. Now I get the same .5 sec of lag Landmaster said.

I think what I did was delete steam and all it's folders and then reinstalled everything.

If you use Firefox, I'd make sure you have Adobe Flash installed for internet explorer.

Hey, also check your settings on STEAM. It might still be set to 56k modem. That's what happened to me.

I have a slight amount of lag, but I chalked that up to how many people on sever/
